Police Officer Stops Knifeman in Wigan

0:00On April 25th, a police officer in Wigan showed real guts by taking down a knife man who terrorized the town center early on August 5th, 25. Around 6.45 in the morning, PC Thomas Fairbrother Wilcock got the call about a guy who had already stabbed two people in a taxi office and was chasing others down the street. People were running straight at him, some crying and bleeding, which told Fairbrother Wilcock he had to act fast. He used his training and calm skills to detain the attacker safely, even though it meant putting himself right in the danger zone. His colleague, PC Lisa Naylor, broke away from another duty to back him up and both officers stopped things from getting worse. The attacker, 36-year-old Charles McMurray from Wigan, later pled guilty to wounding with intent, threats with a blade and threats to kill.
