Police Officer Fired for Sexual Assault

PC Jason Capri from the Central West Basic Command Unit was dismissed following a misconduct hearing on Tuesday, March 10th, where he was found to, have broken professional standards. The incident happened while he was off duty in Merrillbone with a woman he knew. Earlier, on Wednesday, February 4th, Capri pleaded guilty to sexual assault by touching at Westminster Magistrates Court. Then, on Friday, March 6th, he received a 12-month community order and had to pay 199 pounds in court fees. Leaders in Central West London policing say this kind of behavior is unacceptable and falls far short of what officers should do. They stress that women need to feel safe and the force is committed to weeding out anyone who doesn't meet those high standards.
