Police Investigate Al Fayed Abuse Claims

0:00On March 27, police investigating claims of sexual abuse by Muhammad al-Faheed have interviewed a man in his 60s under caution this month. This comes after 154 people reported abuse linked to the late businessman. Earlier, between February 25th and March 5th, detectives questioned three women on suspicion of aiding rape, sexual assault, and human, trafficking for exploitation. The case builds on accounts from victims and witnesses over the past 18 months. Al-Faheed, former owner of herits from 1985 to 2010, the Ritz Paris and Fulham football club, faced allegations of more than 400 misconduct acts spanning 1977 to 2014. He died in 2023 at age 94. Lawyers for the alleged victims pushed police to probe trafficking elements, which they've now added to the investigation targeting possible enablers around Al-Faheed. No arrests have occurred yet, but official stress victims drive the effort and pledge to pursue justice against any suspects.
