On March 9th, the CEO of the Police Federation of England and Wales has been suspended after his arrest in a fraud probe. Moukund, Krishna, a 46-year-old man, was detained last Wednesday by City of London Police on suspicion of fraud by abuse of power. Two other men linked to senior roles in the Federation faced the same charge. That includes a 51-year-old from Wales and a 55-year-old from Bristol, both currently or formerly in leadership positions there. The Federation represents more than 145,000 rank-and-file officers up to the rank of chief inspector, including special constables. Officials confirm Krishna's suspension on Monday and stress their cooperating fully with the investigation. Meanwhile, officers executed search warrants last week in Wales, Somerset, London, and Surrey. All three suspects were interviewed and released on conditional bail while enquiries continue. City of London Police's domestic corruption unit has been looking into these fraud allegations for about a year now following every lead in this complex case.
