Playing with Fire: Trump Escalates Towards Direct War with Venezuela

The Trump administration is escalating toward full-scale war with Venezuela, with warships, B-52 bombers, and promises of land strikes, after already killing at least 57 fishermen in “extrajudicial assassinations,” says José Luis Granados Ceja, a Mexican journalist with Venezuela Analysis. He calls the U.S. a “rogue government acting with impunity” and stresses that a military invasion “will not be easy – they will not be welcomed as liberators as they tried to tell us with the same lies as they did with the invasion of Iraq.” Ceja discusses Venezuela’s mobilization of armed forces and the Bolivarian Militia, while regional solidarity movements insist, “We are not going to allow U.S. boots on our territories – full stop.”
