Pitt's Season Ends in ACC Tournament Loss

0:00On March 11th, the Pitt Panthers wrapped up their 2025-2026 season with a 98-88 loss to North. Carolina State in the second round of the ACC tournament at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte. Pitt started strong after upsetting Stanford the day before, building a nine-point lead in the first half with 50 points, their best against the ACC. Foe all year, but North Carolina State responded with a 13-to-nothing run and never looked back, outscoring Pitt early in the second half to pull away. Panthers fans saw some bright spots in the defeat, with senior Cameron Corhen dropping a career high 27 points in his final college game. Nojus, Injus, Sidis, and O'Mari with his spoon, each scored 19, matching their personal bests. North Carolina State's Quadar Copeland dominated with 24 points, 8 assists, and key free throws, fueling the Wolfpacks offense. This win boosts them to 2012, dodging a bad loss before Selection Sunday. Pitt closes at 13-20, their 5-20 loss season, and second undercoach Jeff Capel, as North Carolina State advances to face, Virginia tomorrow at noon.
