Pitt Basketball Players Honored for Academics, Hoops

0:00On March 24, two Pitt men's basketball players earned spots on the academic all-distant team this week. Cameron Corrin and Nojus Indercitis got the nod from college sports communicators for shining both on the court and in the classroom during the 2025-26 season. To make the team, athletes need at least a 3.50 grade point average, sophomore status, and heavy playing time, either in 90. 1% of games, or starting 66%. Corhen, a senior communication and rhetoric major, posted a 3.67 GPA. Indercitis, a sophomore in the same field, topped that with a 3.89. Both saw action in all 33 games for the Panthers. Corhen started everyone, leading the team with 13.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. He shot over 53% from the field, and hit career-bests and assists and steals. Indercitis added 9.1 points and 3.1 boards, heating up from 3.0 range late in the year.

1:04They peed in the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament against North Carolina State. Corhen dropped 27 points in his final college game, while Indercitis tallyed 19 with a personal best 5-3s. Over the last seven games, he shot nearly 48% from deep. Even with Pitt wrapping up at 13 wins and 20 losses, these honors highlight their balance of academics and hoops, setting a strong example, as the program looks ahead.
