We have some remarkable people here on the Isle of Man, some homegrown and others who have made this place their home and very much embraced everything we have to offer. One of those people is chef Pippa Lovell, the owner of restaurant 'Versa' in Port Erin, who holds a spot in the top 100 most influential women in hospitality and a place in Forbes 30 under 30.
San Pellegrino Europe winner for social responsibility, Pippa is a passionate supporter of local and seasonal produce and regularly holds events promoting sustainability. Last week she brought two world class Swedish chefs to the island to collaborate for a very special dinner: David Ljungqvist, who is currently the chef for the beautiful restaurant Poryal in Stockholm, and Jerome Calayag, the winner of the World Title of San Pellegrino Young Chef Academy 2021 and member of the Swedish Culinary Arts Team. Christy DeHaven went along to the event and spoke with all three chefs.
