The number one content creator for the Dallas Cowboys is our friend Mark Holmes. And the legendary Philly 500, they join us now here on the program. How you boys doing? What's going on? How are you? What's going on? Let's go on with the cowboy blue here. Look at this, Mark. Well, I did it because I had some statement here. You know, the statement must be made. Let's make the statement. The Eagles own the cowboys, right? We've taken the championships. We're taking the colors. We take the women. Right? We take, we take it all. So what they think was theirs is now ours. So if I want to wear blue, I can wear blue.

1:01And Jean and blue happens to have the last name. You know what? And I know. Have fun with Jayden Blue. Good luck with that, man. OK? Yeah. Because like Kyler Murray, he doesn't study the playbook too much, man. Well, maybe, maybe, maybe you guys just didn't give him an opportunity, but now on a real team. You know, I got to tell you what's really funny years, man. How you talk about the cowboys stench and how you hate everything Dallas. Bro, no, no, no, no, no, no. The minute that Joe Milton was let go because cowboys made a calculation here and said, you know, somebody's got to sign them to their game. Their 50th free man roster. We believe that he'll clear waivers and we'll be able to bring him back because we're trying to upgrade and get a guy here that we believe will be playing for us in a marri from the carnels. But the way of crazy is you admitted a lot of things. In your video, one, your butt hurt about Christian Parker coming here because you said you can get payback for Christian Parker.

2:04Two, you said you can really hurt the Dallas cowboys by getting Joe Milton. No, I didn't say I don't think I said that they could. Three, you said that you need a quarterback. It is better than all of your guys. I mean, come on. They think they think they want to keep it real, right? We got to keep it real. See, the difference between you and me is I can, I can look at my team and see holes and where they need to fill it and get better. As where you just go out and tell everybody how great your team is and you set all your cowboy fans up for basically falling off the edge of a cliff. Mark is leading the cowboy fans through the slaughterhouse. You know, put your right. You're right. You're right. You guys do plug the holes in because I saw your new cheerleader out there. Oh, man. What are you, what are you a little jealous mark? Oh, no, not at all. You want to check it be you? You want to check it be you? Oh, I will ask a question. I want a little souvenir to take.

3:04Oh, boy. How about this, Philly? A lot of, a lot of cowboy fans said this to me that were not so kind on deck. They said that this guy Joe Milton had played so well in the exhibition season that one of the narratives is is that they cut the guy because they didn't want cowboy fans screaming from the top of the rafters that, hey, if that starts sucking at the beginning of the year, put Joe Milton's ass in. Oh, Joe Sinko brought that up as well. He said, hey, it could play great. Did he not play great in the exhibition season? He played pretty good. He played, yes, but can we talk about practice game, not a mode game? I don't mean any disrespect, okay? But we're talking about no game planning going against the Cardinals and the Cardinals will probably be down there in the bottom with the commanders. We're not talking about, you know, and here's the thing. He played really good against Cardinals playing fantastic against them.

4:06Then the following week, it was more inconsistent. It was not, you know, anything that wilds you. So, you know, some days you have great days, some days you don't. And what they're looking at right now is he's still developing. And I'm not going to say that he can't be a great quarterback because you look at what we have with Tony Romo, him sitting around for several years, he was able to learn and develop. And they just felt that Sam Howe was a little more consistent and had more experience. Good, feeling what are we going to say? No, I mean, I think it's fair to say as an eagle fan that I don't see how any of us can be happy of what we saw from our backup quarterbacks during preseason. It did not look good at all. And, you know, it is a concern of mine to see both those guys kind of put a struggle the way they did that I do think going outside and bringing in another backup quarterback whoever it may be. You know, but I do think that they should look at it. And I think they probably are. That's why they still have four active quarterbacks on the roster.

5:10That won't be like that when they get, yeah, they're not going to, they don't have to, they'll have to about a time they get to the center game because something's going to happen. Yeah, that's right. Mark, I want you to help me on something with that press god. So and this is kind of going to go down the lane of that interview yesterday with GQ and with or the other day and Jalen Hertz. How is that press god got the best out of George pickets? You know, and now listen, what's it George pickens supposedly a head case? Yeah. In Pittsburgh. Wasn't he a diva receiver in Pittsburgh? Yeah. Wasn't he like, like a malcontent, a little bit to Mike Tomlin. Yeah. How did that change that around? I tell you what, this makes me wonder about the Philadelphia Eagle. I'm assuming about the Pittsburgh Steelers locker room and way things are going on because it seems like our new offensive tackle is ecstatic about being away from there as well.

6:17Now I'm going to say that press god can look and say, you know, lay me on bail got franchise tagged and sat out for a year and ended up getting shipped off to the jets. I got franchise tagged and I'm the highest paid quarterback in football. It's not a bad thing. All you got to do is prove yourself and be a solid citizen. And he is falling into that completely. You could make the argument that he was the best player that we had in training camp this year and he seems to be, you know, all that and more. Now Steven Jones is fucking the relationship though. Oh, the relationship is is fantastic. You know, this is where if you look at the Cowboys versus the Eagles where you see AJ Brown and Jalen Hertz who is an island of himself, you see the Cowboys there out and you taught together having a retreat and, you know, bonding and doing things playing golf, working out and so on. They've become kind of a family and this is what Brian Shottenheimer kept talking about locker room presence and having guys that are good locker room players.

7:18Now we'll find out if this is actually going to work as far as winning as a culture. But you can definitely see these guys are there together not just for the money, but also for each other, their brothers and arms. My question is when it would take that 11 years to do that. I mean, Jalen Hertz has been a piece of this. No, no, no, no. That has always been good with the players. I was talking about George Pickens. I wasn't talking about. I was talking about, I'm going to talk about now AJ Brown and Jalen. That interview yesterday, when he was talking about the relationship, the guy asked the question and he goes, yeah, it completely, they grew apart. There was no way they were not going at the end of it. Obviously, you could tell by the way he was being questioned that there was no relationship at the end. What happened, Philly, between the quarterback and the star receiver with all the winning? Oh, I don't know. I don't know. You know, we've heard all the rumors about the girl and all that stuff. I assume that there's something probably true about it, you know, somewhere in the middle.

8:21But I think, I think Jalen is, he cares about winning and he cares about the team. And I think AJ cares more about AJ. So I think I could see how that relationship could deteriorate, especially if Jalen is like, you know, I don't care what's going on outside of football. I'm focused on this. Yeah. AJ enough to that. How I go to see it. How I took, how I took the, and I don't care. You know, some people will see it a different way because the transcript is different, Mark. Then it was with the video. To me, Jalen hurts is this guy. He puts winning above any relationship. Here, here's the line, Philly. The line is this. There's a price for success. And to me, when he makes a comment like that, I think AJ wanted more of a relationship. And Jalen wasn't going to go down that lane. Jalen was about the team winning football games. Well, then what other reason? Because it can't be winning. It can't be money.

9:22It can't be anything else. No, well, I think it had to do with some sort of check outside of this girl. And something like that. I believe, I tend to believe that something like that happened. I could totally see AJ Brown being like, why didn't you tell your girl this or that? And Jalen hurts like, dude, we got a game on Sunday. I can totally see that. So I mean, he was his godfather to his kid. I mean, he had a pretty close relationship before he got there. I don't know how much closer AJ Brown would have wanted it. I think something happened outside of football that we probably will find out Sunday down the road. And that was it. And the way Jalen is is I just think that you're not going to distract him from winning and focusing on that football team. And it probably didn't sit well with AJ. All right. Is Christian Parker's 34 defense the fix for your defense?

10:26I can't say for sure that it's going to be, you know, the- Do you have to personnel to run that 34? We're getting there. I think we're getting there. I think that front seven is actually going to be really good. And having Von Miller in his experience, he's already paying off because he is mentoring the guys like you wouldn't believe. And he's actually looked really good in practice. Barham is a sledgehammer. He's kind of like a raging bull. He needs to actually get to be a little bit more under control. Linebacker core is still my biggest worry right now. That and I feel like my vertigo is kind of coming on here. Just seeing Philly and all this blue. It's just making me nauseated here. What's wrong? You don't like blue? It just doesn't look right on you, man. I mean, could you ask me- Why does my fight- My fight- My fight- My fight- Can you see me wearing green? Hey. I could- You couldn't sit up. It wouldn't happen. I just- It's just making me- Can you see me wearing green? You're America's team, buddy.

11:26You wear the red, white, and the blue. And that's when you run there. Okay. All right. So I got a red one and a white one and a blue one. I believe that Christian Parker, this defense, has nowhere to go but up. They are definitely going to be playing downhill. They're definitely going to be aggressive and they definitely have better personnel. The fact that- You know, because I've got Eagle fans that are saying, well, you've got the same defense as last year. There's only three players on the starting roster that were there from last year. Majority of these guys aren't even in the NFL. Guys like Jack Sandborn, Kyler Murray, I mean, Kenneth Murray, Kyler Elam, Travon Diggs, Mazzie Smith, we had nothing but bombs out there. So there's nowhere to go but up. Philly, I want to ask you, how do you think your pre-season went with everything being said and done? How do you think it went? Well, you know, I think if you look at just the pre-season games that didn't look great,

12:27you know, and stuff like that. But what I thought came out of it the most that I thought was successful was it looked like we got a really good running game again and it looks like our offense line is looking pretty good. And I think to me that was the biggest question mark that had to be answered for the positive for the Eagles. And I think that we can check that off. But other than that, I think it was a bit up and down in terms of like pre-season games. So Billy, and listen, I'm not going to go and make a ton of this here, but I am going to ask you about Sean Manion. Okay. My pre-season watch, what's it really about him? I think we all realize he goes, he got a pretty good roster, some good backups. You guys got, it's not quite the team that was a couple of years ago, but you're still good and you're still good enough. I was looking at Manion trying to manufacture first out. And Mark, this is what Manion, and again, it's backups versus backups.

13:27It's two versus dudes, three versus fours. Everything was even, and I was just looking at Sean Manion to try to create some offense. They averaged 223 yards a game. They were 10 to 35 on third down in three games. They had 144 yards passing in three games, and they averaged 78 yards rushing. Now it's not so much that I'm inditing anybody on it. I just wanted to see him create some continuity and some consistency. If he ever needed to be in a position like Kyle Shanahan was last year in a playoff game where you had lesser players, can you manufacture any kind of first downs? And so far I got to tell you, Philly, not very impressed with the guy yet. Like I said, those are the only three games I know of him because he's never called games before. Same thing which I would say the same thing with Parker. I mean, you could probably make the same assessment. Did he get stops? Did he look good? Did he bring pressure?

14:29Was it a different looking team? I'm not going to die the season on it, but Philly, I'm just saying that. I'm just saying that. I actually thought, I mean, I don't think you're going to see it. I don't think Nick's going to let that happen, but I actually thought the second team, the other team is also going to show nothing. But I think Nick takes that, and I said this before to an extreme where he sits the guys out. He doesn't show anything. And he takes it to an extreme. We saw him really do it last year where they could have gotten a two seed instead of a three. And he would rather take the week off. So I think he plays that old game to like an extreme level even more so than other teams. But I thought that second game, I thought they did show me some things that I hadn't seen from the Eagles in years and years. Like a screen game, like, like, being able to have a hot read, you know, be able to hit the running back out of back to like, there were a couple of things like that. That was like, okay, did not see this in years.

15:31So, you know, but the first and the third game, yeah, it was horrible. There's no question about it. Mark, how was your look at Christian Parker this preseason? What did you make of him? Because again, I'm not going to entice you on, man, and that's the only time. I've ever seen Sean Manny call plays. And this is the only time we've ever seen Christian Parker called the FUTSA plays. How do you think he did? I think he actually did pretty good. Now again, you know, the way I always look at preseason is you want to get in, look at individual battle, battle some things and evaluate your talent and get out healthy. That's the number one thing is you want to get to the season healthy. Now he had all kinds of different combinations and trying with like Barham, Mr. First Game played in the second game looked incredible. The time he played looked pretty good in the second game. So I think that the game plan, when you saw the Cowboys, they're going to be a much more aggressive deep sense as opposed to our zone defense that we had last year. And that we have a lot of young players that were actually fighting for some spots that

16:34you looked at and made you feel really good about. But I'm going to say, yeah, I like the game plan that he had. On Tavian Wicks or Sequan Barkley, what do you think has more of an impact on how Davante Smith will play this year? Because again, you don't have AJ Brown on the other side for Davante and Davante doesn't have AJ on the other side. So again, you've got a bunch of threes and fours out there. Is it going to be more of Davane Wicks or is it going to be more Barkley and how Barkley runs the ball that's going to determine? If Davante is going to have an open season this year? Now I think you've got to do, I think it's going to be sick on Barkley. I think he's got to establish the run. If he runs well, it'll help open up that pass again. The thing with preseason is, you really can't, they're not going to show you, you know, Jalen's not on the field to throw the ball. So you can't really judge the passing game, judge the Wicks or judge any of that when they don't even take a snap in preseason.

17:36So judging something like the running game, the back of running backs and the offensive line, how they play is much easier. And I think that if you look at this team, I think you're going to have to be able to run the ball. And I think if they can run the ball, then that'll help with them getting that passing game going. Because I think it's going to take a while. I don't think they're going to come out and be slaying all over the field. I think you're going to have to win with good defense and being able to run the ball and control the clock. And then I think the passing game will come along as you get leader in the season. Is Caleb Downsmark? Is this guy the collective piece that you need for this defense? Has he shown you in so far in camp and in practice so far? Has he shown you that he's the missing piece here that's going to turn that defense around? I don't know if he's going to be the complete missing piece because there's still 10 other spots that have to be on there.

18:36But the guy has football and television out the wazoo. I almost believe that he is the most intelligent player that we have out there. He does not seem to get phased by anything. He's not like the deer caught in the headlights and he seems to know everything and where everybody should be. And he's kind of like that video rat where he is constantly in there, studying and picking the brains of Christian Parker. So yeah, he's going to be a great one, I think. You know, I had a conversation with Zander, Philly, about this question and I'm going to ask you, no one to hear your response to it. So you guys have owned the Rams, right? Yeah. Okay, you pretty much have owned the Green Bay Packers, correct? And it's Suryon and Eric. I think so, yeah. Okay, you're six and oh against those two teams, right? Oh, yeah. I know where this is going. Okay. Well, why do you want to run their offense when you've had success against the football team that you basically beat on a.

19:37Well, I don't think I don't think you're going to run it exactly like they're running. I think it's going to be a version. I do not believe they are going to throw as much as you think they're going to. And I think they're going to use elements from that offense to throw the ball, but I don't think it's going to be nearly as one side is. You think it is. I mean, we'll find out when it starts. But when you look at that offense last year and how inept it was and how bad it was, you got to do something different. You have to. And so I think that this was a good step. Okay. Is Tyler, Guyton, your left tackle going into your first game against a Giants? You mean right tackle. Right tackle, excuse me. Yes. And that is a guy who seemingly has wild acts of the Cowboys and they believe that he had the biggest turnaround because we went into training camp, basically saying that him and Big Nate, we're going to be fighting it out for the starting role. And after about a week, he was already basically named the starter, not solely by his play

20:38of himself, but as Big Nate kind of fell off him kind of a big disappointment. But the key on here was he was actually injured with his elbow and actually was able to work through it, which was the knock on him that he gets beat up, injured and can't play. Yes, he is the starting right tackle. I'm sorry, left tackle. The right tackle is the real question right now. Got it. Concern level, Philly, on McCuylemmon right now for you. No tears allowed. No, you didn't. No, you didn't. Well, he doesn't, he doesn't want to take credit for it. He doesn't want to take credit for it. He made the big stop. He knew the big stop. He knew it. He's Mazzie 2.0. Believe me, if I could take credit for anything I would, but I can't. I say a four. I'll say a four. And I put that in two different categories.

21:38A four for like early in the season this year because of the timing this. And then you probably less long term. You think he has a better career and better numbers than Jalen Rager. Yes, wait a minute. Rager at 39 catches in 398 yards is rookie year. He's going to have a better rookie year than Jalen Rager. I'll say he will beat out Jalen Rager law. OK, he's going to have a better year than Jalen Rager law. Yes. OK, 39 catches. 400 yards. I bet it. OK, hang on here. Mark for you. Couple more guys. OK, CD lamb George Pickens. Yes. Well, they'd be on the Dallas Cowboys in 2027 together. Yes, they will be. And here's what I'm going to say. Steven Jones, of course, sometimes he'll mess up a wet dream. He went through yesterday and said that, you know, it's hard to pay to

22:43wide receivers there and stuff. And of course, everybody took it. Oh, George Pickens is gone, man. Enjoy George Pickens. But what I actually think is the way they're looking at this is we're going to pay George Pickens. But I think that was actually a message of CD lamb. You've already gotten your bag, your older and everything else. And by the time he gets another contract, he's at 35 right now, it's going to be over 50 million. So he actually won't be one of the top paid ones. And I think that they might end up looking and saying, maybe we move CD lamb because George Pickens, you got a lot more road in front of him than you do CD lamb. Here's the numbers here actually for for jail and rager 54 targets 31 receptions, 396 yards and one touchdown. And Philly says that and five lemon port attacks. And so lemon has what about 50 catches 60 catches for about 500. Wait, wait, the record 30. Raker had 39.

23:44Well, Raker in 11, Raker in 11 games had 31 catches is rickier for 396. 31 31, 31 catches 396 in 11 games. Yeah, I'm going to say 45 catches. I'm just going to call him Clifford Franklin. I don't have to laugh anymore. You know, I mean, look, we'll see, you know, did he look bad? Yeah, it looked really bad. You know, I get it. I get it off. What I can't I've seen guys look bad sales and then turn around and then be good a few years down the road. So you got to give a guy a chance. That did you cry when you saw? Yeah, but wait, but wait, you can't, you can't get off the line of scrimmage. It's I don't even know if he has good. I thought the second I thought the second route that he ran, he got open. He was open for a second. The ball was on the throne. Hey, Philly, you can't have three catches for three yards. I look like like first first literally did that was his first like,

24:48well, I don't even think he practiced that week. I think he went like, I don't think he practiced. He was limited and then he went and he played that game. Like you got to give a time, you know, Cooper Dijin, he goes out there on his first series and preseason third game. He gets two penalties on the first drive. People were calling him a bust. We saw Nicobie Dean look like he was totally lost and then all of a sudden get it going. You can't judge a guy on one. Okay, he's season game. How about Stowers? Where are we going with him? I don't know. I, you know, it doesn't look to me. That's way more concerning than lemon because he's not even looking like he's getting on the field. And when he was on the field, he didn't look like he was a second round pick. So I feel like, you know, I, look, I feel like this is ultimately going to come down to get Howard Roseman, make those two picks because he was drafting for need or did where they the best players on the board. How he gets in trouble when he tries to take the need and not best player.

25:52He does a great way to take the best player. So I think that's the truth. If you could ask how he that honestly, you would know the answer to what those guys are going to be. Last question. Mark, how do you think Stephen Jones and Jerry Jones? How do you think they're off season one? They're off season. I'm going to tell you that it's kind of crazy when you look at this because it seems like everything that they're doing is about right now. You in the blood and go, Jaden blue, Phil Moffa and stuff and trade for Amari because Amari's kind of a big play guy. Doesn't have a lot of miles of stuff on him, but he is, you know, experience. He's not a guy you have to worry about dropping the football. When they traded for a broadrick Jones, which I think maybe they gave too much for them, they looked and they said, big Nate and you're not good enough to be a backup. We need somebody to challenge Terrent steel or if he gets hurt that we have a credible backup. And the same thing with Bond Miller, they're trying to collect as much talent. Everything is about this year more so than the future.

26:54They're looking for guys that can play and have an impact right now. So from that standpoint, if you're looking for this year, I think they've had a really good one of basically rebuilding the defense completely. I'm not sure that this is the year. I think you might need to know another year to really get there. No team has had the 32nd defense and gone on in one of the Super Bowl. Yeah. I just now it's got to pay off, right? It's got it's got to be the payoff in the fall here. Yeah. How do you think how he's all season has been? I think it's been quiet. I think it's been actually uncarrased, let me restically quiet. You know, but if you look, if you look at like even preseason, like it just been quiet. Like I did eight, eight less videos this year because of moves and transactions. You know, so it's like they've been quiet. I don't know why maybe like Sir Alstair he has, but we'll see if his chances and the things he did pay off.

27:56Maybe he's blown his wide. Yeah. I don't know. Mark, man, you talk about the law of average is catches up. What's wrong with him? He could not miss. You know, it's he is paying back, man. He sold his soul. No, I don't think that's the case. And now the bills are coming to you, man. Yeah, I think that's your hope, but you've been hoping that for 10 years. Well, the good news for the blind, man. Listen, wait a second, though. I mean, if the guys had five consecutive where he's used the first and second round that have been an impact player for their team. And now the first and second, let's just let's just be fair here. They may not make a contribution in the first month. Right. Okay. That's not usually the case because all those guys have really played and helped the football team. Right. I would just say that again, I mean, if he doesn't hit, but he's hit on five of six drives. Yeah, but you're a great slam. You got to put in there, Jonathan Gennart, too.

28:57The big free. I got it. I got it. I got it. But here's the thing that if you look, if you look, you know, that streak of five years from really Devon Desmith on, you look before that, there was some really bad draft, it's a really bad draft. And it was philosophy. He's even said it, you know, when we draft because of me, like going for Jay the Rager, because you want to outside speed receiver, it hurts him. So did they train, did they draft lemon and what's the space because they were looking to fill a need possibly. And if that's the case, then there's a risk that this is not going to be a good draft. Now, if he took the best player on his board, I feel confident with that. But time will tell what, what one it is. Mark, what's on that shirt? Oh, this is bar him. He basically hates everybody. He's got 31 teams that he hates. He's like a throwback. He doesn't like anybody. He's come.

29:58He doesn't like to talk to the. He's not like tackling either. Cause I want to make this tackle. We'll see. We'll see what happens. All he plays against you guys there. Is your tongue even blue? What are you looking at for wins in 2026 for your cowboys? 11 and 12, 11 or 12. No, no, no. This isn't a bell curve. Pick one. Well, it's really said 12 to 14. Yeah, well, no, I'm going to get him to get. Okay, I'm going to say 12 12, 12 and 5. Okay. Fill 500. Give me a man. Man, 14, baby. Let's rock 14 and three. 14 and three. Wow. You, hey, you got high expectations on that football team because of 14 and three team. You said it right. You should be a lost angel. I expect to be at least the energy game. I think anything less than that's disappointing to me.

32:02You know, but super balls, but we're about winning. Let's go win. Mark, if you get to that in the sea title game against the Eagles, it'll be the greatest year in the history of our channel, your channel and his channel. You imagine that would break the internet, bro. Oh my God. I have. Hey, guys, I have two. I'll tell you what, if the Eagles go to the NSC championship game against Dallas, I will go find more. We will, we will watch it together. Mark, there you go. I think the three, I think the three still not have to do that. Well, I'm going to tell you this. Listen, here's my ultimate dream this year. Miami and Notre Dame in the national championship game and the Eagles and the Cowboys in the NSC championship. That would be, oh, wait, that plays against the Eagles. I'd take that one. I'd loved it. And I want that in the 49ers. Listen, I'd want that game in Philly, though. I don't want that in Jerry's world. I want that in Philly outside NFC East. I'd like to see that game inside. I'd like to see that game outside in the cold in the cold in Philly, old school NFC East

33:08championship game. What do you say, Philly? I love it. That's what I'm talking about right there. Now remember something. That owns the Eagles. So I don't know, no, no, you can't say that.
