Petition for the Bread of Life

What do you think the phrase, “Give us this Day, our Daily Bread” in the Lord’s Prayer.   Other than daily provision for food, is there more behind this phrase?  Absolutely!  It’s like asking, “Give me Jesus” who is the bread of life.  And, it’s a signpost reference to the Lord’s Supper or the Sacrament of Communion.
