On Sunday, August 4, 2024, the U.S. Transhumanist Party invites Peter Voss to discuss his thoughts on the desired directions for future development of artificial intelligence in the effort to reach artificial general intelligence (AGI). He will explain why large-language models (LLMs) are not the path to AGI and what a more promising approach would involve. Peter Voss is an innovator, serial entrepreneur, CEO, engineer, and scientist. He is the founder of Aigo.ai, whose mission is to bring AGI to the world, to boost human flourishing. He was one of three people in 2002 who coined the term “artificial general intelligence”, along with Ben Goertzel and Shane Legg.
