Peter Mortimer on Ultramarathon Training Principles, Strategies, and Tips
About this episode
Peter Mortimer is an ultrarunner on the Aravaipa racing team based out of Flagstaff, AZ who has tons of experience racing in some of the most competitive ultras in the world, such as UTMB, Western States, and Tarawera. He is also a coach at 8 More Miles where he helps ultrarunners hit their goals on the trail and improve as athletes.
In this episode, Peter shares tons of valuable tips on how to improve your own ultrarunning training; including how to manage the “run-life” balance between training and running, dealing with unexpected obstacles during training and racing, and what are the key principles you need to develop to become a well-rounded athlete.
Huge thank you to Peter for coming on the show!
