CORRECTION RE INDUS VALLEY:

The Ancient South Asian and Iranian lineage made up the Indus valley civilisation: they were farmers who erected the irrigation system we still use in Pakistan. The Steppes came after the civilisation had already declined and mixed with the post Harappan population. The central Asians scythians, kashanas, steppes etc brought the weapons and leather boots and sherwanis and tunics and shalwars.
