Vernice got her moniker “FlyGirl” from being the first African-American woman to become a combat pilot in the US Armed Forces. For more than a decade, she has inspired organizations and individuals to make gutsy moves and create breakthrough results. As a gay woman, African American, and former beat cop, she offers a wholly different perspective on social injustice and the #BlackLivesMatter movement, which she shares with Dr. Diane in this conversation.
