Penny Taylor - Surviving Meningococcal, Life as Double Amputee, and more!

About this episode

Chances are you don’t know who Penny Taylor is. But hers is a story worth listening to. She’s an inspiration. And offers a reminder that bad things happen to good people and whatever it is you are going through; you CAN get through it.

In November 2009, Penny Taylor, a single mum of 2 from Palmerston North contracted meningitis and was given 30 minutes to live.

She not only survived. She thrived.

Despite being told by doctors that she would never walk again, she has 2 prosthetic legs and is fitter and more active than most of us. You can follow her on inspirational Instagram account: https://www.instagram.com/fitness.amputeenz/

Penny doesn’t do a lot of this stuff, so I appreciate her sharing her story and going back to some pretty bleak times and I hope you guys like it too.

Thanks to Radix Nutrition for sponsoring this episode.

I start every day with a protein shake made with protein powder from Radix. But they do so much more than just protein powder. I don’t want anyone to buy something they don’t want or need, but it would be nice if you would support the people who have enabled me to grow this podcast this year. Also, their products really are the best.
