Pedestrians Hurt in Salford Car Crash

The crash happened around 12.45 pm at Broadway and Trafford Road. Emergency crews, including police, paramedics, and firefighters rushed to the scene. The victims got treatment on site before heading to the hospital with non-life threatening wounds. The main road stayed closed in both directions for hours, allowing forensics teams in the serious collision unit to investigate thoroughly. Officers arrested the driver on suspicion of Section 18 assault and set them into custody while checking their medical condition after the crash. A learner car may have been involved as one crossed a cycle lane and hit a fence nearby. And quarries are ongoing and police expect to lift the road closure soon as they piece together what happened.
