PEACE 2 results: Evaluating pelvic RT for very high-risk PCa

EAU Podcasts

About this episode

In this episode, UROONCO PCa associate editor Dr. Jennifer Le Guévelou speaks with radiation oncologist Prof. Pierre Blanchard on the results of the PEACE 2 phase III randomised trial investigating prophylactic pelvic radiotherapy (RT) targeting pelvic nodal micrometastases and/or cabazitaxel may both reduce the risk of relapse and improve outcomes in patients with very high-risk localised prostate cancer.

They discuss the design of the PEACE 2 trial, and its key findings, which showed that whole-pelvic radiotherapy yielded only a minimal trend towards improving clinical progression-free survival, with no significant impact on secondary endpoints, including metastasis-free survival and overall survival.
