Patriots Sign Reggie Gilliam, Boost Run Game

The New England Patriots just signed fullback Reggie Gilliam to a three-year deal worth $12 million, with $4.4 million, guaranteed in the first year. Coach Josh McDaniels has always loved using fullbacks, and this move brings in one of the top options available. Gilliams spin his whole career with the Buffalo Bills, their biggest division rival, after going undrafted out of Toledo, back in 2020. Over that time, he had 16 catches for 135 yards and two touchdowns, plus eight rushes for 14 yards. This signing hurts the Bills by taking away a key special team's player and blocker, while filling a real need for the Patriots. Last season, they relied on Titan Jack Westover as their main fullback, with defensive tackle Kairas Tonga in for some packages.
