Patriots Let Iton, Prince, Westover Hit Free Agency

The New England Patriots have chosen not to offer a tender, to defensive tackle Isaiah Iton, meaning the 24-year-old will hit the open market as a free agent ahead of the 2026 season. His agent confirmed the news this week, noting Iden was an exclusive rights-free agent with limited accrued time. The 6-foot-2, 277-pounder joined the team last spring on a trial basis after rookie mini-camp. Iden played just 42 snaps in the preseason, recording three tackles including one for loss before a hip injury sidelined him. The team waved him with an injury settlement and he spent the rest of the year on injured reserve. Before landing with New England, Iden went undrafted out of Rutgers in Ole Miss, spending time on the Tennessee Titans practice squad. He also played his smaller schools like Northern Colorado and Hutchinson Community College. Meanwhile, running back Daeneric Prince and fullback Jack Westover faced the same situation
