Patriots Land Vera-Tucker, Beat Giants & Browns

They beat out the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns in a late push for his signature. The agreement finalized late Monday night into Tuesday. With the Patriots fresh off a Super Bowl run, that edge likely swayed Vera Tucker away from the jets and toward New England. Vera Tucker brings solid experience at 26 years old. The 6-foot-5, 305-pound blocker was the jets' first round pick. Number 14 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, out of USC. He started every one of his 43 games with the jets since arriving. A preseason injury sideline him for the whole 2025 season, but he's back now. Meanwhile, the Giants and Browns miss out on bolstering their lines. They'll hunt elsewhere as free agency heats up.
