Patriots, Chiefs Make Splashes in NFL Free Agency

The New England Patriots made a big splash by agreeing to terms with offensive guard Alicia Vera Tucker on a three-year 42 million dollar deal. This move aims to shore up their offensive line and better protect quarterback Drake May, who finished as MVP runner-up. Vera Tucker missed all of last season with a torn triceps injury, but should slide in at left guard. He will help smooth out issues between left tackle, will Campbell and center Jared Wilson, both entering their second years. The Patriots took 21 sacks in four playoff games last season, including six in Super Bowl 60. Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs addressed holes in their secondary by signing safety alohi Gilman to a three-year 24.75 million dollar contract.
