Pardoned Rioter Gets Life for Child Molestation

0:00On March 6, a 45-year-old handyman from Florida named Andrew Paul Johnson just got a life sentence from molesting two children. This came after he was pardoned by former President Donald Trump for his role in the January 6, 2021, Capitol Riot. Johnson had pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges from that day and served one year in prison before the pardon wiped a clean. Trump issued blanket clemency last year on his first day back in office, forgiving or commuting sentences for all more than 1,500. People charged in the riot. Back in August 2024, a federal judge in Washington sentenced Johnson for entering the Capitol through a broken window while yelling at police during the chaos.
