This marks the worst clashes in years between the two neighbors. The United Nations reports that the week-long fighting has displaced more than 100,000 people already. Pakistan launched airstrikes on Taliban sites inside Afghanistan, hitting places like the Bagram Air Base, North of Kabul and Borderpost near Kandahar. In response, Afghan forces targeted Pakistani military spots, claiming they destroyed several posts and even shot down a drone. Meanwhile, crowds gathered in Kabul and Laghman province to protest Pakistan's attacks, chanting against their neighbor.
