We get into the film’s “wildly tender” exploration of autobiography and artistic process, Almodóvar’s aspirational apartments, that for-old-times’-sake kiss, melodrama’s coincidences, being in the mood for moms, and wanting Penelope Cruz to make you a chocolate sandwich.
