Overcoming My Addiction & Unprocessed Trauma
About this episode
Show me a person with an addiction & I see a person with unprocessed trauma.
The addiction is how we mask the trauma.
It’s our coping mechanism so we don’t have to face it.
I know because that was me.
My eating disorder was my addiction.
It was easier for us to find an addiction than it was to face those emotions.
That trauma was my prison.
Now, I use that trauma as power.
I have come to terms with the pain & realized that the pain has built me into who I am today.
Turn your suffering into growth.
Pain is our biggest teacher….
For when we are able to overcome trauma & navigate through it, we learn how strong we can become.
