0:00Welcome back to another all out NRO fantasy episode and goodness me it is good news that I can bring you guys that the footy is back what an absolutely tremendous weekend or Sunday it was in Las Vegas we saw the Newcastle nights take down the cowboys 28 points to 18 and the Bulldogs in extra time the first game of extra time in Las Vegas take down the red V 15 points to 4 14 Mick how are we mate what a great weekend to footy yeah it's good to have footy back as a dragon's fan I feel like I need to start with a rant that's fine brother great outkins with all your respects you've potentially ruined my year that's just the fact still I just I feel like so many calls are wrong and I think he's going to go home a richer man than any Aussie in Vegas who might have won because the dog he's paid off some awful calls yeah that was about the late late shot

2:08fantasy stuff as well I thought Newcastle geez that they were it was a good performance from them I had coach I was happy with my tip I felt that Dylan Brown was sort of just a complimentary piece to flutter sharp and ponger who were just taking over but there's a big difference from compared to last year when you know ponger's doing it out the back play and he's passing or getting passed to doing the key thing as well or Dylan Brown like it's it's a big contrast and you can you could tell and they had a bit of you know things not go their way fletcher sharp pito fletcher sharp he was great to start the game and he went off after 20 yet 24 weeks 26 minutes yeah a couple of weeks for sharp but yeah he was outstanding just quietly fletcher sharp before he went off I think he had like what like 50 something points or something like that or 40 something points in like 20 minutes he was a paycheck but I mean you're very unlucky and I hope that doesn't sort of derail

3:11the nights I think that should be alright though no all right you take it away my friend let's go get into the fantasy stuff yes um so today we're going to sort of go through I'd say most of our team will have about 15 of our team I think doors got it up here yep that's um you'll see a few missions might have been slightly clickbait in the title I'll be transparent about that we're just well we're not decided me well yeah that's what I mean at least we're giving some players to everyone I mean real estate we have a good idea of who those players going to be but we're waiting for TLT um some cheapies we need to make cheapies we need to make sure you can see uh in our wing of fallback we got nano from the dolphins yep he won't be playing no he is just a place holder for titans when he when he won a gun yeah see Ali for money when he get out of she's going to be so yeah it should be tomorrow yep and he'll get uh well he's even he got the contract last week late last week got upgraded his contract into the top 30 but fantasy still

7:24there is a catchment and and and chester with the job security but they were they were outstanding chester didn't really even get that much bull he was great defensively first game for the year as well after having a injury-ravelled uh or ravaged preseason um so yeah I was I was very impressed with uh Tommy chester Mick yep um Dylan brown into the hive Dylan brown 35 won't go we're going to his sort of scoring a bit later yep um look you might have seen a few post few pages suggesting he wasn't he wasn't a great buy he was a good buy and then look it's been one round I'm sure they just rage braiding trying to try to get some clicks yeah I it's respect it's the same oh 100% 100% no I've got no problem with either parties obviously it'd be interesting if they went well they'd be heavily trying to argue yeah it's the dead and there's also plenty you know yes he did well this week but there's many you know it's either they're getting defensive or them

8:28saying oh yeah it works it works both ways but yeah on Dylan Brown I'm not too concerned Mick I'm not going to say like oh yeah 486 he only got 35 points I think he was traveling really well until a lot better than how he ended up finishing when Fletcher Sharp was there with him when Sharp went off and then Sandin Smith came on who's more of a half he sort of took over I think and Brown took a bit of a back foot step there so I think we've got to see I'd honestly be trying to hold him through that period unless his scores go terribly down I'd be holding him through and then once it looks like Sharp Sharp was the one that got the start originally and he was outstanding for the 26 minutes that it was on the pitch so I assume as soon as he's fit we'll go into he's straight back in yeah and I think Larry the Panthers have a tough draw the whole year really yeah it's the Panthers it's Nathan Cleary it's going to be good against everyone we don't need to explain that

9:33one a shit time yeah it'll be outstanding yeah yeah like a 60 you sort of disappointed that's how good he is exactly right feed up everyone should have him frame mooney very pleased with him I think he's yeah he's going to be a keeper the whole year his minutes was it was minutes like pretty good his minutes were his minutes were good but they could have been a bit better I did not expect Matt yeah Matt Croaker to play that many minutes I think he's minutes he's minutes are good enough for him to make cash yeah he's look he would have probably got like a 50 something without that try I'd say yeah so yeah it's still it's still fine but we'd like to see a few more minutes like an extra 510 would be great and don't you worry about those that edge spot and that middle spot empty that'll be some pods yeah 100% we'll we're going to get to 0.005% oh geez yes you know that that's definitely we're just waiting for TLT we need that confirmation we need to see what

10:35the bench is like and so yeah I think that look for most coaches I think the the bench with the six man bench now and only using four players I don't think it really affected anyone really fantasy relevant I'm going to throw you out some names that we thought about that we've sort of cooled off okay that's still great by Tino great by yep we pulled him out of our team I just thought at prop generally scores worse maybe some minutes concerns I'd rather him at lock but he's a he's a home run pick still yeah between well between us all in my own personal team I I have Tino I was tossing and turning between Tino or Couchman and I ended up going we should do it we should do our own team reveal yeah we could definitely do that yeah we could definitely do that Mick yeah but look there's a Stefano's another one we've sort of tossed up as well that potentially could be an option in our side look especially that first month where storm have got you know

12:46with the forwards Mick um and yeah Marnie played 80 look how are grants ideal like Brailly made you thought about but yeah but I think it's at the end of the day Mick it's the decision I don't think we would have started with Blake right oh sorry with uh Bailey Hayward I think Bailey Hayward would have been an option that we had on the bench look if you got Bailey Hayward you're very happy and uh static that the game went 90 minutes because he definitely picked up a lot of points and he played the full 90 he ran eight meters yeah so he ended up I think getting like an extra 10 15 points uh in that that air all basically extra time period um but look at so at the end the day you think you take into that buy into consideration Brandon Smith supposed to be back in round three he's priced less probably the better option but look we'll see what see what happens yeah and that's about it really I guess we can talk about Luke he but we'll be discussing him

13:48he was a home run pick must have yeah we can touch on the the players that played in Vegas uh in depth when we go through these winners winners and losers uh through these two games Mick yeah sure should we should we jump into it yeah let's get straight into it we'll start with the nights and uh cowboys and the man at the top my friend yes as Doris said these are the winners and losers from the first two games in Vegas first winner Kalin Ponga 83 points I think we could tell very early uh it's it's a coin coin flip what Ponga is going to bring every year yeah it may have landed on heads yeah look it was a great start Mick uh and it really did remind me how he played even before when Sharp was on uh how he was basically like first receiver who was getting his hands on the ball a lot and you know he was playing in the halves like five eight and Sharp was out the back playing like fallback in attack and um look Ponga 261 uh kick meters ran for 156 meters it was outstanding 83

14:57break even a 46 he's making some money my question about Ponga is 40k is he someone like it's only been one round obviously as we said is he someone he's going up 40k is he said is he someone you're like shit I think he's arrived again he's back is he someone you're getting because you have Walsh didn't yeah I've got Walsh in my own team just look at the jersey um yes look at the jersey yes uh I've had KP in the past and he's just I had him last year I'm pretty sure and it just didn't work out at all um so I'm pretty sure we had him as well at some point last year and it just didn't work it didn't work out we ended up getting him and then I think he got injured and oh so um yeah I'm Ponga Mick to in my opinion if you didn't start with him no I'm not I'm not going oh I've got to get him unless I get sad to desco where I get a a Walsh and they get they go down injured or something like that then I might definitely

16:00consider him with how he played um but yeah no I'm not like you know moving everything to try and get Ponga in next week it was positive that when Fletcher shot went down Ponga seemed to be just as good so he was good in the coming weeks I sort of like I feel like if you thought the Knights were going to be way better this season that's good logic logic to go for Ponga oh yeah we're going to Luki 68 points he's a star I think I saw super coach playbook said he'd be like a top four back rower or something yeah he was yeah Tim Williams and super coach playbook were really high on him yeah they were really high on him and and so we in the in the fantasy realm as well he's great and super coach great and fantasy absolutely unreal played the full lady there's no concern there's no discussion really over this I think if you don't have him you have to get him in next week and if you haven't read the rewards yeah so 68 points Mick uh that made him 49k so he's up to 349k um next week if you're going to get him in but I agree with you Mick

17:07especially with Nanai out Bateman's carrying a bit of an injury um I don't think it matters Luki will play like 80 minutes I reckon um the rest of the way until Nanai comes back and then it might be a bit of a it might not be 80 it might be 60 bit by that time he would have made a truck load of cash and we can move him on yep mooney 66 points we sort of talked about him 49 minutes was maybe 10 less than I thought yeah I was thinking I was thinking around 55 55 to 60 was where I was sort of projecting him I was thinking he'd be like a high 50s average the whole year I think if he's playing 50 minutes he's probably just going to be a 50 guy which just like thrown out look if he lands claims they have no clue if he did get 50 he would have made uh 17k so he's still making money so it's not like you need to move it anything but we'd like to see him getting 60s and I honestly think he'll get more minutes in the future he had a bit of a busy

18:10preseason played the all stars did a lot of travel so yeah 66 points makes him 34k mech so a good start for Mr. Tray mooney yep uh briefly touch on Dylan Lucas 61 points good pot 1.4% yeah it doesn't have that jewel I mean I thought about it then I was sort of just like oh I got a guy has a hundred k cheaper who I think will average about the same so I just went with him it's also there's a heap of edge like cheapies as well which uh sort of doesn't help as well within regards to you know going for that gun and you'd rather go for a gun in another position because there's these quality cheapies in the edge position mech uh did him went well 57 dom young mac and tyron air uh read money 54 like is sunny lurch not going to be a threat no quite frankly no I think that he would be like that guy that it's like it's a close game read money looks

19:13absolutely wrecked um just quietly his his fitness must be absolutely cooked money he just works he works he's absolute backside off um I was I was thoroughly thoroughly enjoyed that cauliflower is one of the other greats yeah and he's kick meters as well like he didn't he only got four points for it with 120 meters but handy that's definitely something that I think will increase is he's got a very underrated kicking game and yeah I was uh stoked look that 54 uh from money get made him 80 in cave so I think it's great great news for owners yep next relevant guy would be Tommy Chester 45 issue with labate returning in round three is it door yep round three yep from suspension look if the cows lose again there may be some concern but he did he did good five tackle breaks 180 meters from yeah and 45 points make made him 28k uh in round uh one so he's uh we'll be 278k next week so that's that's that's great that's all you can ask for and you know what if he gets

20:18dropped just get in Brandon Smith maybe if he's backed by that yeah potentially yeah yeah we moved to sharp sorry about the injury he's a cell I'd say three weeks four weeks just this early in the season so yeah he's probably not back till round four I'd say because it is a benefit with those teams coming back from Vegas they don't play this week so they've got an extra week of recovery but you could have hold him it depends what your your depth is like if you have like an Adam Dewey or something like that on your bench you can just have sharp use him as a loop option yeah and getting back because that's unbelievable 43 points in 26 minutes out of this world Greg the leg decent pod and 43 all the way to McEwan I know you have him door 37 points 412k the minutes was always going to be issue for me as far as worried about do you think he's going to be 68 every week well I actually wasn't the minutes I was I was happy with the minutes

21:20playing 68 68 minutes is I would rather 80 you know well 100% I think I I would too but I was expecting around that yeah around that 60 minutes I thought for a second if you watch the live commentary I thought he was actually going to stay on and then I was like oh no baby can't actually might move out to the edge because he came on in the middle and that's one ended up happening but I really like what I saw Mick you know he definitely passes the eye test and I think if he gets a bit more ball in in coming weeks and you know you get rid of his negatives that he ended up having had like one error and I think he gave away three penalties as well so that's that's eight points there so you get rid of that and that's close to a 50 point performance from McEwan there that's that's exactly what I sort of want if I you can be like close to a 50 guy there's a bit of money to be made there yeah Dylan Brown 30 actually caught it just quickly I did see a

22:21bit of traction with caught a 4% I just didn't really see it he's been the same guy for three years now so yeah I wouldn't have gotten him no no and he's actually just quietly just it's not like he's bad in game but fantasy wise and super coach wise has been really I don't know throw out Jackie Trifoyovich I don't think it's not like Jackie Trifoyovich it's just like it's going to be tackles run meters a couple of misses I had five missed tackles as well so you get rid of that that's what 45 points he would have had so that certainly doesn't help but let's move to brown Mick yeah 35 for brown bit disappointing got a massive downgrade yeah it was 43 42 or 43 yeah little hack if you want to see the actual scoring it probably updates maybe an hour off the game go to the NREL app yep then go to the fantasy scoring in there and you'll see the actual scores yeah because a few times I've looked at that remember once I lost because Gato got a boost by 15 points and I lost by one but do you think about it Mick the key things that I take away from

23:25this you go up to you go up to Fletcher Sharp score he had 20 kick meters you go down to send Smith score he had 112 kick meters Dylan Brown had 263 so for me I think once Sharp's back the two kicking options are Dylan Brown and Kalem Ponger so I think there's a bit of an increase there I have the missed tackles five missed tackles yeah he also had three six again so look get rid of get rid of a few of that he's on 40 and then throwing some attacking stats because I think that's going to come yeah 100% Mick he's only lost 2k as well definitely don't panic and just be like oh he's got to go panic at all no don't panic ladies and gentlemen do not panic he was getting a lot of touches yeah there's definitely positives coming with Brown he's going to get a few off loads he's going to get some more tackle breaks yeah let's just promise he'll

26:35absolutely unbelievable so yeah I agree with you it's nothing against cookie cookie was outstanding for the full nine but it's just yeah that spark for a little four like we got great young forwards I just think out lake we need someone with leg speed and that final 20 minutes to set up a quick play the book yeah it was so sloppy for valhomes who mind you was about 40 meters behind I say I'll sail this but we got Rob's uh yeah yeah speaking of forwards yeah should we move to the um to the ball dogs of back row is uh Preston and kick out they were outstanding both got 74 points a piece I really liked both of them I was thinking about it it's just edges such a tricky one because it's like yeah as you said before it's such value I got one pod it's like you're picking between about 10 pods yeah that's a lot of fun and we did that in the podcast we couldn't decide on the top five look you'd be happy with both of them I just didn't even get it I didn't even get a pod I think I just at this word of time I've just got like the the OG you know the heavy heavily

27:39old guys at the moment and gone the pods elsewhere that's fair I think Preston's going to be the more consistent one I was gonna be up and down but kick out was really good Galvin's an interesting one 66 bit of a pod great pod 2.6% he looked he looked it looked like the same Galvin to be honest that we saw last year but definitely a lot more calmness and clarity I think with what he's role was and a better connections with these outside man like he's connection with Jacob Preston especially was outstanding for past the first one by the way yes yeah definitely it was the second one was definitely forward and got called but yeah the first one was flat I just think that um 35 if you go back to last year I I probably read into his stats from last year a bit too much because I did look at him on 40s to statistics had to had to pay for that by the way hope he's um made money because he deserves it whoever is 100% yep or she yes yeah um what was he going to say

28:44you're talking about the Galvin stats from last year like last year has been a ride off because you know his new system yep but if you look at the year before incredible yeah fantasy is first year in so I think it could be a nice little pod adjusted to the doggies loves the ball in his hands going to get he's bigger than you think as well so he's going to get a lot of dark brakes and stuff yeah so it looks like he made 49k I think it looks like in that first round yeah 66 points oh look I just thought he was he just was way more active and like I said before and you sort of alluded to it there Mick it was just that he got thrown in halfway through the season well by his own doing let's make that clear it and he just didn't have the connections I think and I understand the system but he definitely does now was outstanding what about one of all out's favorites Mick Jacob Kiraz yeah he's he's he's so good I swear he was fairly quiet but he got 61 maybe I'm just tripping but no you are somehow ran 278 meters he was he had an into injury interrupted

29:52preseason didn't play any of the games and he didn't start this game uh didn't start the game very well at all he was quiet but as the game went on he walked into it and he was absolutely outstanding the back end when he was taking on that second tackle he was making so many meters yeah yeah 61 points for him he's in 19.9 percent a team so yeah no great great work there for those I think about 20 percent I swear there was some rumors that he's going to be outside cherry who's a bit of a ball hog when he's outside steam cry and I was just a big concern with the coming back from the injury and whatnot but I think he's definitely a viable option and great with that center and wing fallback duel Mick Ryan Couchman wow was not expecting those minutes no 56 minutes churned out 53 tackles four tackle breaks ran 90 meters yeah I I'm a bit shocked we got him

30:53I got him personally I didn't get him personally you probably do have to have to get him in yes week definitely definitely do I'm just trying to think about what what someone should do and a bit upset a bit emotional about missing this one it's tough because what what are you going to do you're gonna it's like me killing to him or you know I mean yeah I don't know I think it's probably it's probably gonna have to be that avenue or I'm just stashing it edges or I potentially don't go like a a patston or something like that if I'm a bit concerned with him but we touched on it Mick we touched on it last week in our in our podcast we were not expecting Couchman to get the same sort of minutes that he did in the preseason 56 minutes and you know what I don't think he was probably gonna play 56 minutes but he played 56 minutes in the end because he was one of the best players on the field for the dragon he was not far behind Damien Cook and the reason

31:54he played those minutes is because he deserved them by the way he played he was outstanding he's got some ticker he worked his backside off absolutely outstanding yeah it's gonna be interesting how people get him in sewer we talked a little bit yeah we talked a little bit about him he was great yeah I thought about but then I was like I had him all of last year as my pod I'll change it up this next man hurts as well Mick Dan I can see more tissues wow now I don't need tissues I'm very happy with his performance I'm very happy for that but I'm 1887 kick meters crazy work I had him in my team for so long and then I just took him out on Sunday morning absolutely spewing oh well yeah that outstanding and that's what we we said it we said it last week Mick that he dominated the kick meters in trials and you can see it he's got an absolute booming boot the trajectory of his kicks with how high they are and the how the chase can chase through with those young dragons forwards that you're talking about was outstanding Kyle Flanagan kicked 90 and I think all of them were awful

33:01no well first they were awful and it was when Atko got tackled on the fourth yeah there was one I remember quite well at the back end there where Cook went for a scoot out of dummy half and Atko was in support got the ball and then he got tackled on last they were about like halfway yeah that was like a bomb when we had to do distance but it's like it's the it's the same type of trajectory is Atkinson but he just doesn't have the same type of leg he's a great ball strike at coat yeah great performance from him Mick yeah I think we thought about it but we had Adam we had Brown yeah Toby Couchman I have him in my team 66 minutes I think it was going to be about 55 around that if he ever gets close to 60 minutes he's going to be I know I got 56 there he's going to be a 65 guy yeah he played 66 but with the extra the extra 10 minutes there I I think you'll get to 60 he's coming back from you know serious injury Mick so it is I think him and

34:04Hamish Stewart will average pretty similar minutes it is terribly frustrating trying to spot which which guys who with both Couchman's Hamish Stewart looks similar when Egan comes back I think it's the dirty blonde hair maybe and then from behind the fresh fades of Atko and Flanagan is tough to tell I know I think I was actually doing really well in the commentary like being able to pick up the Kessie had some issues yeah let's move on speaking of Hamish Stewart Hamish Stewart he was a late benching for Hama Sally I we had him in the all that team and we changed him look 67 minutes he would have played what 57 yeah so I know actually he went off in the extra time and then came back on right at the end so I'd say it would have been it would have been I reckon close to 60 yeah yeah yeah I think you'd happy regardless 55 60 minutes both situations
