I don't need it to be like just completely like I don't need fruit to taste like dessert But I do kind of wanted to taste sweet and watermelon have always thought is just a little too much You didn't see this in for sure. 3:03Tanner what's your favorite fruit? Uh probably those like sun gold kiwis, but also raspberries Wow Raspberry that Sun gold It's like a special it's like this special brand. They're not like kiwis. Yeah, they're they're yellow on the inside Yeah, so they taste different than kiwis. They're they're delicious never tasted it, but they're so good I'm not sure that I've ever even had a kiwi before I'm not gonna lie. These are very different than cute They're like kiwi ish. They're they're like you have to bring some a tank and just share them They're so yeah, just bring some in man. I'll try them on the show whatever I'll try them off the show. 4:04I was very close as I was throwing away our weak old pizza from our second birthday last week. We'll see me I was very close to just sneaking a piece. Yeah, no one was see me, but I didn't I held off I held up Okay, let's let's dive into some sports action man We're closing out international week by previewing the seasons of not one but two Mavs we were gonna talk about moustache ssa on yesterday's show, but we just got carried away reviewing air and talking about Achieving NBA team and just all sorts of drama and jerk, but today and of course the goat dirk nvitsky joint If you missed it check out yesterday's show, but also we'll be posting the video to our youtube channel later this weekend So we decided to roll over moustache to today And we're also gonna talk about tarqba vera beverage. Oh really choked on that word run Uh the beeps who would you like to start with? Uh moustache because I already have it pulled up all right tell me about tell me about moustache So as the the i'm the comp man of the show I love like bringing like a player comp just because that like helps me contextualize players or just things in general

5:10So like moustache ssa, which is I think it's like I think it's for just like a fan favorite like I haven't heard you I'm like I don't like moustache like I haven't heard anyone would take ever So I think I think it's safe to say he's a fan favorite and one of the reasons why I think he's just one of the best rebound boys the best rebound on the table I think I think it's come we could just say that and like nagging and he push back He grabbed 27.8% of his misses last year, which isn't a 96% of his own misses of his own misses. Oh my god and For from an office rebound and percentage Mitchell Robinson who's my comp for moustache ssa who I think Like I gently believe like night every time I like hype him up that if moustache was giving enough minutes And who's you know just get if they just put in enough work with him But he can be a Mitchell Robinson type player who just got paid like 18 or 20 million dollars a year This also then with an insane injury history by the way, but so it's when Mitchell Robinson's on the floor everybody He's an amazing player and why Mitchell Robinson believe it night everybody grab 31.9% of his own misses everybody

6:11Which is the ending 98% towel he grabbed 21.1% of his teams misses, which is in the hundreds percentiles and like Essentially best in the NBA Moosa again, but it's not that far behind 15.8% of his teams misses 91% towel like they're just some of the best rebounders in the NBA And into that kind of this spread era of basketball you need to look still possessions You know three steals all different ways like to make sure our possessions mean even more Rebounding is one of those ways especially offensive rebounding We saw the Rockets do it last year with Steve Adams now. I don't know if Steve Adams was kind of very unique Just because he's kind of of the old adage, but then it's still doing it now Um, I think Moosa can do some similar things like that The difference though right now between like a Mitchell Robinson And then most of C.C. is that Mitchell Robinson is just an elite finisher now He's also played with really he's had really good guard play over last couple years. There's a branch in his one of the best point guards in the NBA clearly

7:13um, but like last year he was 10% above league average according to road truth So 10 is 9.9% road truth road truth shooting percentage Versus Moosa was about like negative two which is again Moosa is a Rolling center that gets to the rim. He dunks the basketball. He does layups He doesn't do much else which is fine in this context the problem is when it's like be well and then be in Ties Jones for like three to half seven seconds ish throwing you passes and alley oops then your road truth shooting shooting percentage is going to suffer I think that with careerven and go with flagging in another year And maybe even Marcus Sasser or just like other high IQ players Even maybe Sansi Aldama. It's like passing him the basketball that roast true shooting percentage will go up So if he can do that I think he can get about you know get to that 20 to 25 you know minute per game mark Maybe that next year but eventually in his career and another way also I think that he's comp to Mitchell Robinson

8:15Is that the reason I mentioned Robinson does actually in the floor for long periods of time outside of the injury concerns Is the foul percentage they're both in the like they both foul about 15% of the time Which is like both Like in like the last 20% of all players like they foul a ton when on the floor That's because they're defensive anchors and they try to block a ton of shots So if mousa sees they can give you some Mitchell Robinson type play everybody You know that that center room is looking really good and he can make I think he'll make a couple of people get real uncomfortable whether a damn gaffer or even your globally At last season of all of the guys that played a single second in the NBA right so every single player Musa ranked number nine tied for ninth in total rebounds per 36 minutes 14.7 he tied with collauware Of all the players that played at least 300 minutes He ranked number five Okay Behind guys like Mitchell Robinson who you mentioned Andre drummond yeah donovan clinging Robert Williams

9:21Now drummond is an interesting case because he's always been kind of a Relative to his peers like subpar efficiency from the field because you know earlier in his career Really tried to post up and you know even later in his career He was he was never like the the biggest like a lot of target guy. It's a lot of like kind of cleanup Similar to Mitchell Robinson But where I think mousa stands out from some of those guys Especially somebody like drummond is that he also blocks a ton of shots So of all the guys that played 300 minutes again. I'm just using that arbitrary cutoff last year he ranked Fourth in block shots per 36 Wimby led the league 3.8 J-hoff 3.2 Robert Williams 3.1 Musa 3.1 good So he is a he's a thing doer He's gonna get a ton of offensive rebounds. He's gonna block a ton of shots He's gonna grab plenty of defensive boards And he's very athletic and he's he's gonna he's just gonna do things you're gonna notice him while he's out there um

10:22And I mean that that is production like Maybe scoring is never gonna be a strong suit. Obviously you're not gonna look for him for assists He's never gonna run a play You probably don't ever want to dump a to him in the post and have him back down But he will grab misses when his teammates miss shots They'll grab misses when the other guys miss shots and he's gonna force misses because he will jump as high as he can to try and high point that layup you know He's an extremely productive player now he only played 38 games last year only played 530 minutes in those 38 games This year with lively due to miss who knows how long I mean is he the backup center right now or is the backup center meres is the backup center center sante oldama is We'll see center somebody else. I'm be honest. I don't like again Gaffer's getting paid a good amount of money, which probably like you probably have to play him just because uh of that that price range but like I don't think Daniel Gafford is good enough to just like automatically give him the starting role

11:23If that makes sense now the money might say I don't care what you believe brother You're doing it because that might actually just be the factor But if this is like a currently, you know like a QB combination like the guy was at Joe Biden versus Sam Hau And it's like you know what just compete like Joe. Man you you were here last year right, but like Sam Hau's will come in we think he's good enough Lamb just compete. I think Moosa is good enough to at least compete with daniel gaffer And to me, I don't know if that will actually happen. We'll see But if I let's say gaffer plays 30 minutes a game like I don't think Moosa should be playing five Like that to me just does like the gap is just not that Big if at all like I can't prove You know like I wouldn't bet like any money person that I daniel gaffer. It's like better than Moosa sees that like he's proving more than NBA Sure, you know gaffer to go go gaffer with everyone to call him the landlord Has proven at least be a good you know good NBA player, but I think Moosa sees a just has

12:25Something that's like they can be unlocked and like Messiah jeer has done this multiple multiple times throughout his just career as a you know a talent evaluator Moosa say who they got in the contract now for another season after this year for like a dollar and 50 cents I would Look at this looking moosa very very close to him be like hey We might have like one of the best defensive centers like in the NBA and like no one knows who he is Genuinely like there isn't many like hidden gems on the mavericks because like it's hard to have a hidden gem in today's NBA He's like a legit like oh Let's just make sure he's not as good as the number say and you because the numbers are really good You can send him a lot of money and have a very long career even if all you can do is rebound and block shots Yeah Always be a job to be had even if you never get better at a single other thing Okay, you will have a 10 15 year career if you're a good dude and you play hard like that is

13:26That is the not even the bare minimum that is for some guys the bare maximum Can you be a good dude and play hard every single time you're on the floor a lot of guys can't no The answer to that from many players is no but the answer to that for Moosa is always yes all right Let's one quick he can do more we at we cannot get through this segment without mentioning he did one of the best highlights the year last year Oh, the little little ninja kick that was very cool. That's like a top 10 that's cool. He was that seven feet tall I don't know because he said if like can you just do that once a year? Like that's the game's contract to be able to do that at that height Is like absolute freak is always by the way Look at that if you haven't seen yet a player on Georgia Tech last night got up In a really cool way. Oh, I think it wasn't it wasn't quite the way Moosa did it. It was really cool All right coming up on the other side of the break. 17:29And maybe some other Mavs there's been some whispers that they're all together in LA right now getting up some shots And locking in before what is hopefully going to be a big step forward on the court from last year And be bearovich is shooting could be a big reason why run Yeah, I don't know much about Tark, but I do know if it's just from the stats the man can shoot the basketball Yes, eight eight different and eight different like leagues last seasons You shot these 40% from three That's pretty good. I mean last year the 25 26 season For Finnerbachi in the BSL league he took 5.2 threes per game shot 49% On those threes. I think that means you're pretty good shooter I've said Joe Harris, but then you know he posted I mean the maps are he posted a photo. I said well that looks like Corey Kispert And I know that guy very well. I think he's a Korgifre I think was this you look like Corey Kispert just because it's a white guy that kind of wears a little headband sort of thing

18:30Well, or is it because of their games Both interesting both actually interesting. He's I think he's better than Corey The thing okay, so this is a thing with Korgifre that never understood is that he was said He's a good shooter and it's like by the numbers he's He's probably like he's good. He's not great amazing By the bear of itch his numbers are like all-time numbers I'm gonna think he'll shoot this good in the NBA What I'm saying is that overseas he proved that he was like one of the greatest shooters over there in that league Maybe the best shooter in that league And it's like If he comes over here. Let's say he shoots A little bit worse sure he shoots 40% flat then I'm sorry like that's pretty good for the NBA Five attempts per game is a lot of attempts again the game is played different over there, but that's still really really good so I'm into see kind of what he looks like they'll probably need them clay was like they're only kind of real like three point rate person on the whole squad last year Even mass-crisis who shot well like three point rate wasn't like elite levels

19:32They need some type of elite level three point rate guy and this is probably why they signed him I'm gonna try to just see like when it where he play which the line-ups house used I'm pretty sure you know he'll be stuck in the corners and on the wing and like he'll be a guy you just can't cheat off of But he'll probably get some open shots early is because like no one's gonna really know much about him because he didn't play in America So I'm interested kind of how his early um, you know early season games go and how much does he play? Yeah, but even if you do guard him He's big he's tall and he shoots it way behind his head and he kind of leans back as he shoots We've talked about that before so even if you're in his face. He's still can create room Which I think is good. It's cool. And he's also not afraid That's another guy that whenever he gets the ball He's gonna he's gonna shoot it no conscience no fear You know, um, and that was a a thing that at times bogged down the offense last year's if a guy missed two or three in a row It's gonna be a little less likely to take the next one and sometimes it doesn't matter You just have to keep taking the next one, you know, uh, because not only will they eventually go in

20:34But also if you start passing up those shots then your offense your possession is turbo doomed Um, okay, I feel like that's that's enough taric talk. I'm sorry to all the taric super fans in the chat But yeah, I mean we haven't seen him play in this country yet. Yeah, yeah, the closest we've got is me sneaking and looking in the door But that's sneaking it was open Looking in that door and saying to the back of the box you were sneaking like just right. I was thinking you were proud I watched him play he looked pretty good I think he was on teams with again like dusty mayor somewhere like that and they we he had the shooters leave He had like a little headband thing after that's called it's like the string headband. It's like Yeah, keeps keeps your bangs out of your eye. Yeah, essentially, so he was rocking that um, he kind of you know, it's funny like He's like when I saw him shoot him like I just know that that makes three. He's like he had the sleeve on he had the pullback here This guy I just I've watched if you share some like that at the y you know, you know, it's gonna be tough, dude I gotta I gotta get in that guy's face either he's faking it really hard or he can shoot the basketball

Yeah Uh, people commented on the fact that like I guess for a few times you're like and now I have back to back picks and it's like Yeah, again. Yes, you just every if you're in the ends right everything's a time No one comments now I come to like my favorite part was how surprised drawing was every time that he had that I need to find the comments of that one again. I mean that's probably like that might just be the five best players in the NBA or certain players Five of the top like eight or whatever um There's no bad choice, but I think there is one correct choice and I'm just gonna do it. I'm getting wimby I'm taking wimby Number one overall in the international players draft now. I'm approaching this from a I'm trying to win the title this season. I'm not building anything for the future. Give me that ring right now

27:47Yeah With my third selection. So I got OG, Yannis and Wimby It's a bunch of big, but that's a bunch of big balls. That's a bunch of big dogs. That's great Now who's shooting the ball? Stop asking questions is Yannis your power forward? Yannis is my four man But also kind of my point man, but also a real big ball hog. So he's not really a guard. I don't I don't know Okay, and yeah, so like this is again, why I decided not to take the Joker here is that in B tier And like in realistic like I don't think anyone like Wimby's a great great defender I don't think he can guard and beat if he's healthy. I don't think he can guard like I just in B If in B is healthy, he's one of the best winners in history of the NBA So like if I can get in B on this team It's like I still believe like in B should believe I can beat any other player in the in the history of NBA Because he just he's just that talented as position. So that's like you know what I if I can still get in B

28:47Wilden making sure are at least for me like I have at least if not the best small for like the second depending on you know OG I could have got him, but I think fronds. I think maybe could possibly like Bobby's going to this year OG's better probably this year. I think fronds maybe could be better than OG eventually. So that's kind of how I thought about it Yeah, maybe when OG retires. Yeah, oh my god. Who'd you take after Yannis? I took OG on an ob. Oh, gee. Yeah, okay. Okay.
