Other Foundation Birmingham Launches Community Grants

They're offering monthly awards from $1,000 to $3,000 for projects that improve neighborhoods and spark local. Creativity. These grants are open to anyone in Birmingham, whether you're an individual resident or part of an organization. No non-profit status required, just solid ideas to solve problems or make the city better. The group behind this ran the local chapter of the Awesome Foundation from 2017 to 2020. Back then, they funded cool projects like a Girl Scout, who built a weather-protected bus shelter in Woodlawn. Chair Max Reikoff says the aim is to give quick resources to turn big ideas into reality and build a culture of civic innovation.
