I love days like these at the pool, but my moderate to severe plaque rise is can sometimes take me out of the moment. I'm ready to make a splash with clear skin thanks to SkyRizzy, Rizzenkizm Ab Rizza. SkyRizzy is a prescription only injection for adults who are candidates for systemic or phototherapy. At four months most people saw 90% clear skin when measured from head to toe and many were even 100% plaque free. People also saw significant improvement in psoriasis symptoms of pain, redness, itching and burning. Don't use if allergic to SkyRizzy. Serious allergic reactions, increased infections or lower ability to fight that may occur. Before treatment get checked for infections and tuberculosis, tell your doctor about any flu-like symptoms or vaccines. Now there's nothing on my skin thanks to SkyRizzy and that means everything. Ask your doctor about SkyRizzy. The number one dermatologist prescribed biologic in psoriasis visits SkyRizzy.com or call 1-866 SkyRizzy to learn more.

We got four Santonio homes slash Curtis Samuel Ohio State wins and Jeremiah Smith days until buck eyes play football again cannot freaking wait. Excited. We're almost there, y'all. Ryan Day had a pressur today. We're going to talk about some of his quotes. There was a few interesting, huh? Did he just say that quotes? That we're going to talk about amongst a few other things as well. Now listen, he did reveal starters and some starters were also revealed in different ways. We're going to talk about that specifically as well. And then for those who have not liked the video yet, please like the video. Okay, do that. Then subscribe. All right, tell your friends. And then also the non Apple people like me, spreeker.com is what you want to do. If you're not watching YouTube to listen to the podcast. Okay. And then also when you send those wonderful super chats, which are always do your crazy with the super chats, man. Last night was hilarious. Remember, it helps to go towards the pay it forward, which is our military and our first responders. We're going to look out for them because they always look out for us. Nevada. Happy Tuesday, man. What about this four more days, man? Four more. I know. I know it's it's such a fun time of the year. And four days to go is kind of crazy. I mean, it's crazy. That was that close. It seems
like yesterday was the end of last the entire flies, man. It flies sometimes. But it seems like it's going really slow. But right now, you know, the kickoff can't get us soon enough. And I'm so excited. Yep. And honestly, thinking about waiting on the buckais to play, I forgot or I almost forgot, but it kind of slipped my mind that we have, don't we have we got football this Thursday and Friday. Correct? Yes. We do. So we got more appetizers. I'm looking at the schedule now. We got a couple of big 10 teams playing, some ranked, ranked teams playing this Thursday and then Friday. Miami, Stanford. I mean, there's some decent games. Nevada. I don't know if you remember Illinois plays Minnesota plays. So we got some more appetizers before our buckais play on Saturday, but look, before we get into anything, Nevada, let's talk about our fabulous new partner. Okay.
Now we've partnered with a called backer. What you got on backer, Nevada? BCKR, the website just great gear, man. I just, you know, I've got my gear. I guess I'm gear from backer and I just love it. It's high quality stuff. You're looking for high quality, you know, outdoor gear, especially when the weather gets colder. This is the way it's the best outdoor cold weather gear that I've ever seen for Ohio State. It, I mean, it just is and it's not particularly close. And if you want an extra 10% off, you scoop 10 when checking out an extra 10% off, but this is really, really nice stuff. And BCKR is the website. I hardly, I think I said, I could personally recommend the Adams because I have been my wardrobe. I love them. It's what I'm going to learn in the buckai games as well. So I eat, he wants some stuff from some great presents, great presents as well. But like I said, not the usual gear, very, very nice stuff. Hardly recommended. Absolutely. High quality stuff. I have it right here. I keep showing y'all on the camera.
I got mine. It's definitely quality material. I just can't rock mine yet because it's too hot. And we are Nevada, like I said, yesterday, we are blazing here in Columbus. It is in the 90s. It's going to be even worse tomorrow. So I can't rock mine without looking like a fool, but I cannot wait. And for those ladies out there, there's, there's, this is like a unisex type of thing. This looks good on the ladies too. So don't, you know, don't sleep on it. If you're thinking, because I, you only saw like a bunch of guys wearing the coats. No, this is for the women as well. So yep, make sure you use that promotional code and jump on the back or mad. Great, great gear and great partner. So Nevada, let's talk about Ryan Day and his presser and two players today. Earl Little Jr., who I told y'all when he was first interviewed back in the spring, I kind of was like, oh, yeah, I like that dude already. Really cool, you know, got the Southern charm,
just a dude. And Nevada Carson Hensman is definitely at the top of my list for, uh, for interviews. Like he's hilarious. I mean, he is one of those. Oh, hi, you know, well, I want to say Ohio state. Well, yeah, I'll say Ohio state just, just, uh, just full of energy, funny. You know, he can get nasty when he wants to get nasty. He's just a likable dude. How do you not like Carson Hensman? He was great today in this interview, cracking jokes and stuff like that. I don't know if you caught his interview, Nevada Carson. No, I did. And, you know, it's funny when you go back, go back in the way back machine when, you know, the helping technician was the only guy in the world going, this guy's got to be starting for, I don't know why he's the ninth man on our offensive line. He's like, oh, I was in shock. So blah, blah, blah. Like could there be a more impressive guy than Carson Hensman? I mean, physically imposing articulate, funny, um, experience.
I mean, he's just, he's everything he wanted. But that, and he was on our bench, dude. He was buried so far on our bench. He couldn't even see it. And now, you know, he's a guy that's come on. He's, you know, he's a team leader. He's a guy that's, you know, going to be an all-American tree in the growth type of player and, and, you know, going to the NFL and going to NFL riches. So yeah, I couldn't be prouder of Carson, love him. And the fact that they rolled him out, you know, this close to, you know, game week, it just shows you, you know, where he stands in terms of the esteem with which he's held by the, uh, by the Ohio State staff and by Ryan Dan particular. But what a great, I mean, there ever is a great reclamation story. It's Carson Hensman because people had written him off, man. Like he was done and now look at him now. And yeah, he, he really shined today for sure. Yeah, man. He's, he's dope, man. I really like this kid. Um, he, he's a great representative representative of Ohio State and ambassador. I just like him. I'm, I'm, I was
going to go ahead and play this clip now, um, while he's on here. They officially released. So that's the I'll just say Austin said last week, he expects to play right now. Well, if he expects that, it's really useful. Our mistakes, I mean, I mean, I mean, uh, I've been playing the way I'm going to get to play with him. Uh, whoever you got there, Josh was playing with him. Also, it's like, um, you know, all of you have a couple of experience. So, yeah. So for those who didn't hear everything, he was asked about Sarah Vell starting at Wright Guard. And he basically dodged it, making sure he didn't violate giving away anything. Although it's, we all know, but it's not official yet. And so that was funny. And then later on in the interview, Nevada, he kind of messed with, I don't know who asked the question, which beat person, but somebody had a blue suit on. Maybe
was a national person, but he said something about their blue suit and, uh, and, uh, and, and ignoring their question. I mean, it was funny. He was just good today, but, but Nevada, so let's kind of pivot into the starting, the final starters, you know, from, from what we're hearing from what we know, going into this Saturday, and I'm going to pull this up so I can see on school. Yeah. I mean, look, you've got an offensive line that we've been talking about for a bit. And it's funny. You know, one of the things that was kind of a theme of the Ryan Day press conference that they are, they he was talking about how much they're trying to kind of, you see him kind of cracking down on information. Like they're not going to be talking about the champions. They don't want to talk about who won the iron butt guy. You know what I'm saying? They're like, trying to keep information in and all the time while our information's never been better. So a lot of the stuff you guys have heard before, but, you know, um, I, I hear to you that that's not by Ryan Day's design. That's not that they're, they're, they're trying to keep it in, but yeah, the
offensive line's going to go in more Luke Montgomery Carson. Hensman Austin, Sireville and Philip Daniel at right tackle. And, um, you know, it's funny watching Ryan Day talk about that offensive line. I mean, can he even contain his glee talking about the offensive line? And, and to think that people are talking about the office line being like a weak point for this team. Like they're like, oh, the weak boys, the offensive line. You know, it's like, we're like, nah, nah, that, that is absolutely wrong. The, the, who's ever saying that, do not listen to them because they don't know what they're talking about. And you hear Ryan Day today. And like, if you could like, came out there with like one of those uh cakes, he would have like handed to the office like, he's so excited about the offensive line and what they can do about what, what Arthur Smith can do, what the, those three guys are going to do on the interior. But yeah, that's the, uh, that's the foundation. They've got a lot of guys behind it. Obviously we talked about, you know, Gabe Ansicle, Josh Padilla, you know, Carter Low. Um, I'm, I'm sure I'm forgetting some guys off the right
of time. But I mean, like we just got dudes on pond dudes upon dudes in the offensive line. And probably the deepest offensive line room, I dare say that I've ever seen since I've been covering on our state. And that's, that's a long time. That is a long time. But it's the deepest offensive line we've ever had. Yeah, I think this is a good moment to play this clip. Um, Nevada, this is one of the quotes that I heard. I was like, wow. And I was chuckling because this is Dave Roberts. If you're heading into summer without a medical emergency kit, you're taking a risk. Most people don't think about until it's too late. Of Jermail Hines. Y'all remember Jermail Hines? Number seven, he played a star position. He's from Glenville. Really good defensive player and it's the picture where we wanted to the sugar bowl and the confetti was falling. He was standing back in the picture like he just looked like full of glie. He was like, I know he just looks so happy and so me and my buddies will always say man, look at you with that Jermail Hines. Glee talking about how happy we are about whatever. So that's one reason why I laugh, but the other reason is because you're absolutely right. You can tell how excited he is about this offensive line and listen to this freaking quote from Ryan Day. And again, Ryan Day, if he's not feeling you like that, he's certainly not going to praise you and he's not just going to say anything just to say it. So I'm going to play this clip so y'all can hear what he says about the old line. Here we go. Pre-guys in particular are a good example of guys that had
their ups and downs along the way, but now they're playing their best football and not only are they seniors, but they've been in the program for multiple years. So it's one thing to have somebody come in from a program that another program sort of quote unquote raise them for two, three, four years. They've been with us. They know what this place is. They bleed scarlet and gray. So that is really significant. They know what they're walking into the season. And then just the overall football IQ of those three guys is really high. Combine that with some of the things that Arthur's doing, what Tyler's doing, and those guys are walking on water right now. They are. I mean, you see him walk down the hallway, you see the way that they're out of practice. They're highly energized. They're rocking off the ball. So that's been fun to see. And you know, you're seeing the best version of those guys. And I think that's where this offense is going to start right there with those three guys on the inside.
And then obviously the Julian, the backs, the tackles, and then kind of go. Hold on, I was muted. So he said walking on water. That was a very, very interesting quote when I heard that. And you could clearly tell he loves the confidence. He loves the confidence that this offensive line has. Remember, y'all earlier in fall camp, the quote, there was a quote about how, after the, I believe the first Krimmage Nevada, how confident the offensive line was after the Krimmage walking off the field. So yeah, man, that that quote walking on water was hilarious. And that's why I, you see what I did in the thumbnail guys, right? Carson Hensman on top of the water. You see that? Anyway, Nevada, your thoughts on that quote, bro. Well, just again, the fact that it was a mainstream take on social media that the offensive line, Brian state was not good. I mean,
that will, that will never not be funny to me. That will never, I mean, like you see some of these takes to your my Smith doesn't know how to run routes. Julian saying isn't very good. The offensive line is like we're like, where do you guys come up with this stuff? Like where do people even come up? I understand the idea of clickbait and sensationalism, but holy guacamole come on guys. But yeah, offensive line, gonna be fun to watch, gonna be fun to watch in this scheme. And you can tell that, you know, he's just so excited to have Arthur Smith. He's excited. This is a great spot. Definitely. Absolutely, man. So I don't know what else to say. I mean, you know, of course we get called the Sun Giant Pompers if we're positive. But listen, I mean, we follow logic, facts, logic, evidence, we thought that's what we follow. So there was no reason to believe. Again, don't be a prisoner of the moment either way. Yes, the offensive line did not play their best in the last two
games against some very good fronts. Okay. So two things can be true, very good fronts, first round guys that they got beat against. And then they still need to get better and play better. So that's not an excuse. You get better because of it, but you played some really good players. So now you take that chip on your shoulder from that L you took into this season with all that experience. In the beginning of that clip, Ryan Day was talking about the interior of this line. My gummery, henzman and cereville is that is a powerful interior. So I mean, again, these guys have been talking about how pissed they are since those last two games. Then you got Arthur Smith with him being a offensive line run game Savat. This is Dave Roberts. If you're heading into summer without a medical emergency kit, you're taking a risk. Most people don't think about until it's too late. Summer coldslinger and can turn into sinus infections at last for weeks. Getting sick right before vacation can derail everything.

it take to be in the other third? You have to do extensive amount of research to be good. There are people that spend copious amount of money, time, resources, energy, they've dedicated their lives to basically becoming good at it. All that and still. And yes, two thirds of people on Calci lose money. That's Calci in their own CEOs words. Go to www.fairpredics.com to learn more. It's just I don't know how you can't at the even if you're not excited. How can you still be doomsday about the offensive line and not have any hope based off of all this? It just doesn't make sense. So yeah, it is what it is. But the next position that we're looking at as far as the starters. Obviously, Jeremiah Smith, Brandon, and his and Devon McEwan, that's been the top three. We've kind of known that for the past few weeks. But Chris Henry Jr. is going to be the four-fire receiver and is going to have a pretty big row too. Nevada, what's your thoughts on the receivers?
Well, you know, it was notable and something people should probably, I mean, Ryan Day described Devon McEwan as good as anyone we've ever had. Yes. Wow. You know, yeah. I mean, you're as good as we've had here. That was his quote about Devon McEwan. So I'm just saying Devon McEwan just a pretty good player. But again, a very deep room. And they talked about the depth of the room. You know, obviously with Chris Henry Jr. obviously with Brock Boyd. You know, obviously with Philip Bell, Oswood Des Jones, then you go to Jeff Wittien-Gilford. You've even got, you know, Dave Adolf. I didn't mention Kyle Parker because Kyle Parker's been injured. But you know, when he comes back, I mean, you're talking about a Marcy Runes good, Avernight Deep. And they asked him, what is it? Was it better recruiting? Was it better fordal activists? Was it coach Hankton? What did he go? Well, it's all those things.
It's just all it's all of those things. But this is the deepest room that he's ever had. He's like a maybe years gone by. We were a little higher at the top. But in terms of depth, in terms of guys that can play deepest room they've ever had. So you've got a deep offense line. And you got the deepest line receiver ring that this all according to Ryan Day. And like you said, Ryan Day doesn't just throw that stuff around. Ryan Day, very, you know, he's measured. He says things that he didn't say much unless he really means it. And yeah, I'm excited about those water receivers. Yeah, man. The key words is per Ryan Day. Not fans, not media, Ryan Day. So it's definitely saying something. And I do want y'all because with this quote about McEwen, it was, it, he said some stuff leading up to that Nevada that I want the people to hear as well about McEwen. Here we go. But also on the field. And then you're bringing someone like Devin McEwen.
Kyle's been out here for a little while. So we're hopeful to get him back soon. But you know, Devin, someone that solidified himself pretty quickly is someone that's, it's going to play a lot of football at starter level. So, you know, that was important. And making sure we identified him in the portal as the right player. And so that was big. So when you go in the portal, it has to be the right fit culturally, but also on the field. And I remember watching the film of him. And he was getting, it's A&M. And he was just competing his tail off out there. And, and then you saw him come in in the spring, do some good things. But then in this summer, he's taken off his body and just the way he's practiced. And I think a lot of the guys would tell you, you know, that he's as good as we've had here. Really excited about seeing him play. And then you're, that's a crazy quote, Nevada. I mean, that, that's a crazy quote. Now, it just, just to bring it full circle here in Nevada, because remember, Devon McEwan is from UTSA, which helped me out in Nevada, University of Texas,
San Antonio. Correct? Because you watched them. Yeah. So you knew them. And I'm saying this because Nevada, and this is why I try to school fans on, on, on just simple things like this. Just, listen, has this staff not earned your trust to at least give them the benefit of the doubt? There were people who were just mocking. Do you remember this? I, I know if Devon was here, he would remember this. Devon McEwan from UTSA. Like, we're not getting camcomet. Huh? Like, bro, like, these coaches are smart. They watch film. They know who the dudes are. Like, now he has to go put it on the field. But the evidence is pointing towards him being really good. Ryan Day is not going to say he's as good as anyone who's been here. Like, did you all hear with this man just say, Nevada, I'm still processing that. I'm still processing that. But remember, remember back after coach is clinic, I told you, I talked to Cortez Hankton and Devon Jordan.
And they both told me mainly Devon and Cortez agreed that they see him as a first, a future first round pick. And he was a pro. They looked at him as a pro. Now, even though I didn't downplay him when he came in, like, he couldn't be good, I still didn't put that much on him. Okay, I didn't expect it here. That I expected him to come in with some speed, mix it up a little bit, you know, get some snaps and help the team out. But this dude is sounding like he's going to do a lot for this team this year based off of this Nevada. So I had to really get that in because that that's just, I don't think people understand how big that is. But anything else on that before we move on. No, just, I mean, what a, again, what a fun interview today with Ryan. This is, this is the most relaxed that I've ever seen Ryan Day. I'm telling you, like, he thinks he's got something special here in 2020. He likes this team a lot. And that was,
that was evident in the press conference that it for sure. Yep, definitely. And so moving on to the Titans, I had a question for you about this because obviously Nate Roberts, the highly recruited Titan who lined up at full back a lot last year as a true freshman. He's going to be the guy. But Mason Williams and Bennett Christian are both going to play a ton too. But here's my question, Nevada. What's up with Hunter Wellse from Northwestern? The ocean moves us whether that's surfing a wave or taking in an inspiring view. The ocean feeds us, sustainable seafood practices bring the oceans bounty to our plates. The ocean teaches us how our everyday choices, big and small make an impact. The ocean delights us as playful honors restore coastal kelp forests. The ocean connects us. He caught the bar
nicely. He looked physical. I haven't been seeing his name. Well, he was floated by an injury. He had slowed by a nagging injury. I think these three just separated. I don't think it means that he's falling off or falling by the way. I mean, Cas Merrick had a similar trajectory in Ohio state. It slowed by a thing. So I don't write him off just yet. But he's a guy that's just got to get 100 percent healthy. I think he can do some interesting things for us. If they use those two tight insets, you roll out one group and then roll out another group. Now you're down to tight end number four automatically. So I think we'll see him for sure. Okay. Yeah, I was very curious. I did not know that. Okay. And then of course, running back Bo Jackson, you know, I think I really like I really like our depth in this running back room about a Bo Jackson, Isaiah West, who had a phenomenal all season Jacoby Jackson from Florida, who definitely looked good. He looked really good
in practice. He looks physically the part. And then of course, Legend Bay is funny as we talk about the running backs. Who was it? Was it Carson? Yeah, it was Carson. So Carson Hensman was asked about the running backs. And he the first thing he mentioned was Legend Bay. The first not thing, but person he mentioned was Legend Bay. Okay. I thought that was interesting. I could be overreacting, but that was interesting. And then he went on to Bo Isaiah in the rest. But he also said something Nevada that I thought was interesting. You tell me if this is a something or if this is a confirmation. So he said, okay, he also said he'll play a key role. He kind of said it in passing, Nevada, talking about Legend Bay, and he'll play a key role. So what do you think about that little comment because I guess you could interpret what key role means, but a starting offensive lineman saying a true freshman is going to play a key role. What's your thoughts on that?
Well, I think Legend Bay is a scoreboard changer. I think he's a guy that everybody on the team knows and everybody on the fans are going to know off this week too. Because when he gets to the ball, he's just different. He just moves at a different speed. And you guys are all going to see that this weekend, whenever he gets, you know, whenever he touches the ball. So I just think he's so electric that they want to do some things with them. They want because he's a special player. He's, you know, you can't have enough scoreboard changers. And I don't, you know, I if you think, look in recent years, I don't think we had guys like that. Not a lot. You know, I'm saying not a lot. I mean, even as athletic and as fast and as many first round picks, down those guys that just just lighted up and go anytime. Well, you know, legends that guy. And this is the team of gamebreakers. And you know, that came through today in the press conference for other than they've been talking about how much they've been working on that about getting through the initial line and then breaking the big run. And you got guys that can do it. And, you know, and they go five deep into talking about all the way down to turbo. So they've got guys
that can break through. You're going to see a market difference in Bo Jackson as well. And that regard, obviously, Isaiah West. So no, I think, I think this is an exciting running back group. But legends just use a wild card, man. He's a wild card because, you know, he's so young. He doesn't know exactly what he's doing out there. But when he gets the ball in his hands, man, just hold your breath because he may, he may take it. So I can't wait for people to see him because people, you know, the, the guys, the players are raving about him. I can't wait for the fantasy, but they're going to, they're going to really love this guy. Yeah. Nevada, that's another one all the way back to spring where you got the running back coach talking about it's like art when he runs. I mean, freaking Ryan Day said he was a poor man's Tyree kill, which some people were offended by that. But you know what he means. That's it. I mean, it's just, you, you try not to get too hyped up. But again,
with a track record from a coach who doesn't just hype guys up if they don't deserve it, hyping guys up. How can you not be optimistic or a little bit excited? And so yeah, man, it's just, it's going to be, it's going to be great. Now, when you say poor man's Tyree kill, you mean, you're talking about, you're talking about your guy, Desion love. Desion love. Hey, chat. Does anybody know who Desion love is? How could you not? Is everybody's algorithm not absolutely being just destroyed and with Desion love? He's the fake. You need to go, you need to go to the, uh, the tailgate. So this weekend, Karen, like, I helmet around. Oh, man, listen to that. Seriously, for Halloween, you got to be Desion love. You've got to be Desion love. The only problem is it, everybody else is going to be Desion love.
You're going to be with me. You're going to be with me. I'll be in Cali. So I can't take a 49ers helmet on the plane, can I? But, no, no, we're not. We're not playing. We might be able to make something happen. I'm sure anybody has a good costume stores on in a pinch. It's lost. Yeah, Desion love. I think there's going to be a lot of Desion love. Oh, man, yeah, that, that, that story is amazing. It shows how crazy people are, how gullible people are. Amazing stuff. So thank you for mentioning him because that's just good Lord. So what, what were we even talking about? Oh, yeah, legend, legend, but we're moving to the quarterbacks now. We got the quarterbacks because a lot, you know, like Julian saying is just better. Ryan Day said a best. He said he's just better than every year. They wanted to pin him down to like one area was is it decision making? Is it processing? Is it leadership? Is it arm strength?
Is it movement? What did he guess? You know, just just better in every single area. Right. And, yeah, he's got his quarterback and Ryan Day's in his bag when he's got his quarterback. The story about the backups. I don't know. A lot of people want to hear the backups. The backup situations is, I mean, Luke and Tavine are kind of dead even and they're going to both play and they'll both give a chance. If you ask me for my money right now, I think it's Luke, but not by much and certainly not by any amount that could be insurmountable or anything like that. But, you know, as you care about backup, you know, quarterbacks, I'd say, you know, Luke and Tavine batmaning out, but Julian just better than every area and a guy that I think is going to win the Heisman. But Mark, then we can save that for another conversation later. Now, we definitely can and we will. But I'll just quickly, I won't go into too long of a rant,
but I keep seeing the disrespect for Julian saying it was another list that came out today. I was just like, come on and then other, the, the dude who steps the two's for cow herd, kind of, you know, taking a duke on Julian saying, listen, man, last year was last year. Okay. He did not end the season on the highest note, but he wasn't terrible either. Okay. He was very good overall. He was a first year starter, y'all. He's going to get better. We believe he's already better. All reports from the top down say he's better. Why wouldn't he be? So just you'll see for you, Julian haters, you Julian, you know, not believers, he is going to prove you wrong. The baby face assassin is going to prove you wrong. So there's that we'll move on back to the scoop post where we talk about the defensive line. Okay. So the starters we got is Kenyatta Jackson, James Smith,
Eddrick Euston, and Boakerson. I love this. Honestly, I really like the potential of this defensive line about it. Like the some some of the guys we just need to see, but what we've been hearing and then of course, guys like Walker from UCF, who has who was slow as far as hearing a lot of buzz at first, but ever since he started getting that buzzer has not stopped. And then of course, Will Smith, Jr., the legacy. I mean, we got some some guys and I keep hearing Jason Moore. I know he has not stepped up yet, but Tyrone Malone was kind of written off to her. He contributed. He actually was was solid. I want more just to be solid. If we can be solid all the way down to that in the depth chart, man, this defensive line can be really, really scary and nasty towards the end of the season with guys like Cari Wilder and Epi and you know, and Zion Grady and stuff and things
like that. But lastly before I pass the mic, I really want to see Boakerson take it to another level. He came here from North Carolina. He was good at North Carolina and Mason plays. He was probably the best defender on the team or on the on the line, I would say. But last year he wasn't that great, but now he should be starting. And so Nevada, I really want to see Boakerson step up and be that physical presence on the other side of Kenyatta. Well, you know, I think what we have is I think we have high end on the defensive line on the outside. You know, in Kenyatta in Bow and Zion and Quayra saw in in in Cari Wilder, I think I think we've got a lot of solid guys on the inside. You know, I don't know. We don't have a Kaden McDonald on the inside. You know what I'm saying? Like that we don't have a tie like Williams, but I think we got four guys that are really good. You know, Sam, I think I think we got four guys that can really play. And on the interior line,
you can be okay with just guys, you know, having four guys that can really play on the inside. I'm not saying it's preferable to have that big dog, but you mean you can win a lot of games with more guys they can play on the inside. But I think that's the story of our defense lineman. I think they're going to rotate them liberally. I think a lot of it's going to be down in distance. You know, they're going to try to run some a lot of those five man fronts. They like what they get in those five man fronts. They get those man-to-man battles up there on the blocking. And if they could move a guy like Epi, you know, puts him in the nose and move Epi into that tackles final on a path rush, they love doing that stuff. So look for some five man rush. Look for, you know, look some of that bear front. And um, the ocean delights us as playful otters restore coastal kill forests. The ocean teaches us how our choices impact even the deepest places. focusing on the most when I'm watching on Saturday, it's going to be defensive line. I think that's the spot that I have the most questions about in my mind in terms of who's going to, but I think we have a lot of answers. I think I agree with you on Walker. I think John Walker is going to be an absolute load. But I guess I've got a lot of questions. Looking forward to seeing the answer starting on Saturday. Now you mentioned a linebackers. That's my number one question mark for me. Linebackers. And so it was revealed today that all the back and forth that me, Deb and Nevada have been doing with who's going to be that second guy. We've been going back and forth between Allegro and Petty John. And so it was revealed today. It will be Peyton Pierce and Chris did Allegro starting. But Ryan Day emphasized that Riley and TJ offer were going to be in there quickly and they're going to play a lot. He mentioned Stover.
They're going to try to rotate guys. So hopefully we get get out to a early lead, knocked them out and just roll guys. But it's going to be interesting. I mean, I'm not surprised, Nevada. I mean, we kept going back and forth. It was hit or thin between Allegro and Riley Petty John. And you know, Allegro's a really good linebacker from Wisconsin. He has more experience. I'm not surprised by this, but Petty John, I think, has the higher ceiling. So it's a battle. But I can't wait to see this line back at room because that's my number one concern. But when I say concern, I'm saying it lightly. I'm optimistic. They can be really good. But we haven't seen these guys play and that we just lost two two werewolves. So anyway, Nevada, which adults Allegro be a name the starter? That if you remember, that's who I had. I had Allegro and Pierce's my two. And I just think that in Christians, he's got so much experience. You know, I mean, because the one thing we're
going to get trily is that he just hasn't played a lot of football Christians played a lot of football for Wisconsin. I've played a lot of football for us, played a lot of football for Wisconsin and played a lot of big games. And so, but do I think Riley and all four to get a chance to play? Absolutely. Absolutely. They're going to rotate those guys. They want to see what they can do. I think situationally. And I think you're going to see a lot of three linebacker look too. So when you see that three linebacker look, that third linebacker is going to be Riley Petty John. So it's going to go Riley Peyton and Kirschner Allegro out there. So they're going to be doing a lot of interesting things with those guys. Very interesting group. But I'm pretty bullish on the linebackers. I, I, I, Lauren, I just likes this group a lot. And I just trust his assessment when it comes to linebackers, that kind of is a little bit about linebacking play. And he's very, very bullish on this group. So that, that makes me very bullish. Yep. That definitely when I'm going back and forth in my mind, those things help me for sure. So yep, I just want to see it. I just want to see it.
I want to see Peyton Pierce go out there and be the leader, you know, on the field that because we know he's a leader off the field. I want to see him step up and get his Matt Wilhelm on, you know, get his Bobby Carverter AJ Hawke on or whatever, like be that, be that dude. You to green. I want to see it. And so I'm excited for it for sure. So let's see, we got the corners. Devin Sanchez and Jamey Matthews. Pretty obviously the two starters, Dominic Kelly. We've been saying that for a while is the third, third corner most likely. And then the nickel, I mean, the J Timon's praise has just been continual from the players to the coaches. Earl Little Jr. talked about him today. I mean, I haven't seen honestly, I know he's the position he plays. It's not as glamorous as like why receiver. But man, the praise he's getting continuously Nevada has just been something
I haven't seen. So yeah, this secondary is a very intriguing, intriguing room. And of course, Earl Little and Jalen McLean will make up the safeties with Terry Moore playing a lot. And we told you about the big nickel role, Simeon Carlwell will be playing as well. So that's the secondary. What's your thoughts mainly about Devin Sanchez? Okay. So can he step up and be who we need him to be this year? He can, but I think Dominic Kelly is giving a run for his money. I think Dominic Kelly is a guy that's really, really pushing that that competition right there. I think it's raised your close. Those two guys really, really good players. Dominic Kelly when he came in was a guy that, you know, Georgia hated to lose and very, very excited to see him out there in the field. But no, we got, you know, Jay Timins came in and coming in the way that he did kind of move this room from, you know, depth to depth, you know, you know, I mean, like we had good solid depth. But then when
Jay Timins comes in and shows you can play, now you've got mega depth. So yeah, I like our defense a secondary, Erl Little Jr. Such an impressive young man. Love the fact that they're rolling them out there to meet the press this week again. Another line of, you know, how much esteem they hold him in. And yeah, he's going to be a terrific, terrific player. I can't wait to see him play. Definitely agree. And so it rounds out with our specialist Joe McGuire, back at Punner, who had sort of a slow start last year. I remember at the Texas game, I was just like, man, come on, you got to do better than this. But he did show him, excuse me, improvement. And then Conor Hawkins, the big leg kicker from Baylor and then Daughton Riggs, the long snapper who was, I think was on somebody's all American team might have been feel still. So they're the ones who make up the special teams unit under Robbie Dishar. I'm very excited to see what this unit can do, not just
kicking and snapping, but returning. What is he going to do? Is he going to have any pool with Ryan Day to be able to get our fast, shifty guys at legend Bay out there to get some attempts? I think it's going to happen against ball state late in the game. I told you on my, my bow prediction, legend Bay will return a putt return for a TD. All right. So Nevada, as we round out that, we should thoughts on the special special teams unit. Well, I'm actually more bullish on McGuire as a punner than a lot of people are in, you know, he's been really good, you know, throughout the spring, throughout the fall. And you remember the Texas game, he kind of got screwed because he had a bombed one, like a 65 year old. And it got called back for like a formation or sligh, sibling this like that, you know what I'm saying? And then he came back and he kicks the next like 40 or 41. But like, you know, he's got the big leg. He's been turning him over this year. Obviously, you talk about the big legs, you talk about counter Hawkins, you know, he's terrific.
I think the return game is going to be fun to watch. I think Dishar is going to make the return game fun to watch when you've got guys like Brandon in this who can be that dependable catcher or JJ Smith, but then a guy like legend Bayman, they want to get the ball in his hands. Yeah, it turns just one way to do it. And that would not surprise me at all. Does he let you be back for turning kickoffs? Yeah, that's the hope, man. That is the hope. So before we get to super chats and highlighting something before super chats, I wanted to quickly touch on Maurice Claret, Jim Tressel. As you know, Jim Tressel is being honored this Saturday in the stadium. They're adding his name. You know, up there next to Woody Hay, I believe this takes the Woody Hayes. But, you know, a very well-deserved honor, obviously. And so they asked Maurice Claret, his fellow youngstown boy, if for those who have not seen a 30 for 30, it's called Youngstown Boys. It's actually pretty good.
Yes, PN. But anyway, he's going to be the one to ring the bell. Okay, ring the bell. So this story to me and Nevada, and we're going to briefly talk about it, is very interesting because Maurice Claret certainly has a story. I mean, you could do more than a 30 for 30 on his life. Someone could really do a movie on his life. So the question is, how does everyone feel about Maurice Claret being the one who was ringing the bell? Have you, because there's some people who still fill away about Maurice Claret back when he was attacking the program, attacking, you know, basically just saying all types of stuff that wasn't true. And just he was just, he was a crash out before the term crash out came to be. Okay, that was the prior Maurice Claret. Okay, that was him back then. He has changed, repented, so to speak, apologized. He has turned his life around. So where now he's
a advocate to the youth to say, hey, don't do what I did. You know, he's with the team now, him and Ryan Day, because he was attacking Ryan Day and the team at one point. But he revealed that he was kind of just, you know, just he loves the program and he was acting out. Long story short, him and Ryan Day met, they brought him in. They've been thickest thieves tight since then. And so he's a fixture in the program right now. So for those who don't know about Mo Clizzi, as our nickname for Maurice Claret, he has a story. He went from from one end of the spectrum to the other. So he's a positive person in the community now, but he got a story. So anyway, with that said, Nevada, your thoughts, because we love Tresil and his antics really, you know, did not help Tresil and really attacked him in some ways. And so what's your thoughts on Maurice Claret, ringing the bell and just in general? Well, I mean, like, it wasn't just Tresil that he,
I mean, he got Andy Guiger fired. Yeah, he anybody who lived through that time remembers just the terror of every day with another article coming out. And 99% was lied. Lies perpetrated by Maurice Claret. So it's my dislike for Claret has nothing to do with any of his things with the law or arm robbery or any of that stuff, because he paid his dues to society through the judicial system. And once I feel like once you pay your dues to the judicial system that that's it, you know, in a sense, I'm not even I'm not talking about any of that stuff. But the damage he did don't have state. Like, I'm just I gotta be honest, I'm not there yet. I'm not there yet. I'm not it's not that I'm not ready to forgive or they say, how is Tresil? Tresil forgives everybody.
He's a saint. I'm not as good a person as Tresil. And I just not sure having Claret, you know, when when Tresil's going into the ring of honor, having Claret do it to me is, I don't know, it's just kind of a mockery of all that time that we all went through. We all went through collectively going through that time. And it was so unnecessary because it was all a lie. It's soiled the Ohio State, you know, name and reputation. And it was just it put a lot of good people through a lot of anguish when it was should have been it was coming off a year where we don't want the national champion the most spectacular fashion against against Miami. It should have been at the best time and said it was the worst. And I'm just not sure if I'm there yet. I'm not sure I'm not sure if I'm ready to like just throw them in the Ohio State threat suit and have them run it up down the sidelines and ring in the victory bell and everybody's like, wow, there's I mean, I just I'm looking at it and I'm like, aren't there better guys you could have picked,
you know what I'm saying? There's some great guys off of that championship team that you could have picked. And could we picked any of them? But I think I think what it is with people, I think people are either eager to forgive Claret because we won a national championship with them. Whereas Troll prior, we didn't win a national championship and Troll prior, the guy that threw himself on the grenade, shut his mouth, took the punishment, never threw a house in under the buster. He's the one who still banned the campus till today and resquetch ringing the victory bell. That will never make sense to me. That will never ever ever make sense to me. Yeah, I hear you, man. I definitely hear you. I understand. I remember those those were some tough days, man. And I got the article poured up right now for those who don't know who are younger and don't know. So, you know, Claret, I mean, listen, he's he was the troubled youth from youngstown.
He tells his story. I mean, he was he was down bad. He made some very poor decisions. He had some very bad people around him. And so he got off into some stuff. The police arrested him. He had all types of loaded weapons in his car. And I mean, I'm giving y'all the spectrum because now, again, he goes around the country talking to the youth saying, don't do it. I did. So, there's two different stories here, the beginning and then now where we are now. But now for those who don't know, I'm telling you, you know, the kind of the origin story. And I remember him about it. It was definitely bad. And he was definitely just running his mouth, trying to take down the program. And so it also, he did say a lot of stuff that was not true, but he came and recanted that. So, team up North fans, for example, try to pull out the quotes from Claret accusing, you know, I don't know if it was trestle specifically, but the program of inducements. But he came back out and said, there wasn't
any coach or any booster or any member in our around Ohio State who helps you get a car. Claret said, recalling his own time on campus, it doesn't go on. It's just guys doing what they want to. People will forever do what they want to. It's nothing more than young guys making mistakes. So, for you, team up North fans who want to try to use his quotes before this accusing, which was not true, never proven, no evidence, he came out and recanted these and said, listen, I was hurt. Claret was like, he was trying to take everything now. He didn't care back then. But he did come back out. You see the quotes basically saying, yeah, I was not being truthful. It was not like that. So, if you're going to believe the quotes before, because it meris Claret said it, you need to believe these two. You can't have it both ways. And he came out and said, yeah, I was tripping and that stuff I was saying was not true or accurate. He went on the Dan Patrick show and said it. So, with that said, I get it. I know Nevada, I understand what you're coming from.

But yes, I'm that I will never forget the impact back when it happened. It was rough, man.
It was rough. If there's ever been a product will son. If y'all read the Bible, Claret was that. And so yeah, that's all I say about that. But again, TP needs to be, will you need to start the TP back to a house that campaign about it? Well, that's yeah, that's just I mean, he's part of our of our, you know, legacy. And he's part of the Ohio State story and a big part of it. You know, I can't remember a bigger recruit and bigger recruiting story ever than Tural prior. Yeah. And you know, he's a guy that came and and like I said, you know, he was presented with the exact same choice that Paret had. Throw the program under the thing, get all the headlines, get all stuff. Prior to do it, man, he just shut his mouth and just took it, took the ban, took the got banned from the thing from the supplemental, everything and he never, ever bad mouth the house date. And it's like, man, I mean, I have mad respect for the guy for that. So, you know,
hey, it's a, everybody's in touch with a different opinion. But like I said, I just think prior not being part of this thing is I think it's kind of sad to be honest with him. Yeah. Well, hopefully it'll, I think the sentiment is out there, man. I got a feeling he'll be invited back. I really do. I think Bjork and Ryan Day is going to make it happen. I just do. So good point about TP. But, but yeah, so Clareette will be ringing the bell. And he's a part of the program now. So that's, that's not going to change him and Ryan Day have a good relationship. He has a relationship with the team. I'm sure he'll continue to do positive things. And so we'll see at the end of the day though, it's about Tressel on Saturday, you know, outside of the football game. Tressel being honored. What an honor. He deserves it. Love me some Jim Tressel. And so Nevada, let's talk about before we get to the Superchets, our other great partner we have that I'm, I'm starting to really get in tune with. I'm starting to learn about this man. And I'm,
I'm kind of excited about this because it's different and it's Kowshi. Nevada, kick it off. I'm about to pull it up and look at today's predictions. Kowshi, you know, the number one leader in prediction markets, proud sponsor of Buckeye Scoop. And I just love the prediction markets because I'm used to stuff that we're just all sportswear, but this is everything. It's weather, it's politics, it's business events, it's just by anything you can have information on or have an insight on, there might be a market on it in Kowshi. And as I said last time, and this is the fun part for me is you can bet yes on something or you can bet no, you can bet against stuff to happen. And so like we got the Heisman odds out there and who are the favorites for the Heisman now? Like like the guy from the guy from the major, No, no, no, no, no, no, no. 12th or 12th or 12th? I mean, like and you know, you've got Julian saying I think he's down there seven, I don't know what Bryce underwood is, but I take a mark on a Bryce underwood not
doing the husband. Yeah, that's that's easy buddy. That's easy buddy, man. That's guaranteed. So, yeah, it's a Kowshi great partner for the scoop and I don't know. You've got the website code that the domain thing that is I think it's kowshi.r. What's the county dot r backslash scoop? Is that what it is? Yep, and I'm just going to double check there right now. I got to put up right here. Correct. It's a HTTP colon two forest glasses kowshi.com forest slash r forest slash scoop. And I'm going to put it forward slash our for for the chat and you get a free $20 prediction when you make one. So check it out. Kowshi, a lot of fun. We're having a lot of fun with the kowshi and we're going to be following this. You know, as the least go on, we're going to be checking out the national championship odds. The high's been odds. Odds come in the big 10 championship. There could be in game stuff on a daily basis or how state can be ball state. You got odds on that.
So you got all sorts of odds. Kowshi great partner for the scoop. Absolutely. But no, I do like the fact that you can predict what's not going to happen. Like to me, that's that's really comforting for someone who hasn't been into the prediction realm as much. I really like that man. So good stuff, good stuff. All right, let's get to the super chats. And I see the chat was buzzing about the clear rest of it. That's a that's a lightning rod topic, man. But it's a part of our history. It just is. So you know, very interesting. Can't carry six and one 13th fourth B Moses Nevada buck. That's a that's a very strange height right there. But the the mythical height of B Moses grows every day in Nevada. Yes, six and 11 B Moses is pretty crazy. That's a lot of B Moses, man. A lot of B Moses to love. We love B Moses, but a six foot 11 M Moses would be our favorite B Moses along.
I would agree. I would agree. Can't carry. Thanks for the one and now he's telling y'all to hit the like button. Yes, thank you. Can't hit that like button. All of that helps. You know, helps to algorithm to get the video out there. You know, we won as many eyeballs on this content as possible. So make sure you do that. Mr. Ian Bates, Texas State plays an air raid style offense. Sark said Texas has been preparing all summer. Then two and and half to play a pro style offense thoughts on Mush champ, a lot of hype. Nevada, any response to this one? Well, it's funny because Arthur Smith has been studying a lot of Mush champ stuff and, you know, specifically that that Georgia game, you know, 2022 Georgia game because you remember back then the DC was Mush champ. Yeah, and that was a game that, you know, Ryan Day had a lot of success. Rand about the problem that day was not the offense.
It was the defense and the refs. But other than that, he had a great game plan, doing a lot of good things with it. And I just like any competition with you, Mappatricia and Real Mush champ, I just feel like Ohio State's got a discredited schematic advantage. So I'm pleased with that. Yeah, it's going to be fun, man. That's going to be fun. R2 NFL coordinators against Mush champ Sark and his coordinator. Yeah, I'm excited about that chess match for sure. All right, King Curry. Once again, Maurice has paid his debt, leave him alone. Yeah, I mean, hey, that's how you feel. Listen, I think with the leave him alone, yeah, I think I don't know. There's some people who are a little more adamant about their dislike from Maurice and attack him and still like that. But you know, there's a difference between an opinion and say, hey, man, I'm not this, this rocked me back in the day. And I don't
know if I'm fully healed from this. So there's a difference between that and, you know, some people who are kind of go too far. But yes, I am glad. I'll say this regardless of how we may feel about what he did back in the day years ago. I am glad that he's still not on that same path because that was not a good path. But now, at least he's making a positive influence on the community. It doesn't change what he did. But at least he's on a better path than about him. Well, yeah, no. And look, I think he did, I think he paid his debt to society. But I don't, you know, what he did to Ohio State, did he pay his debt for that? I don't think so. But that's just me. And, you know, I, I, I, I, I, I, I'm ready for, I think it's great that Marisa's got his life together and he's doing this and that. But do I need him to be the poster boy for a house day? No, I just don't. And I think the poster boy for a house state is a guy that you have in the sideline, a guy you have ringing the victory bell, a guy you have doing, you know what I'm saying?
I just, I don't think he's that guy. I don't think he's, I don't think that's where he's at. I think he's a guy that's, you know, um, I'm, hey, but again, no right or wrong answer, but this is just an opinion. So I'm just not there yet, man, but those, those wounds and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and full disclosure, I was pretty close to Andy Geiger. And Andy Geiger was a great man. And he got taken down by this and it was so unfair. Because Andy Geiger was the best athletic director we've ever had responsible for so many good things in our state. And he just, and he lost his job because of this guy. And nobody ever talked about Andy Geiger there. It's just like, you know, just he was this expendable. That's to me that's sad. Andy Andy's, Andy was tremendous. Yeah, I'm wondering real quick. What, do you know what he's at now? What, what is he doing? Retired. He's just retired. Okay. So he's not in a, in a, you know, professional career and I like that. Okay. Yeah. Now I, I feel you, and that makes sense. You know, you were friends with
him. I mean, that's, that makes you even more intense. I get it, man. I, I definitely get it. And you know, your, your feelings are, are valid. And there's other people who feel the same as you feel. But again, regardless, the last thing I'll say is that I'm glad he is who he is now. And not because he'll tell you the, the mow cleasy back then was not a great dude. He'll tell you that. And so sad. But yeah, at least he's on a positive path right now. But again, Tresil being honored is the focused off the field as far as the game. Tresil being honored. I think we all can agree that that is well deserved. And I'm very, very happy that Tresil was still. And one last thing about it, I love how Tresil always says we, you noticed that when he's talking about a house date, we got this guy, we got this, or we lost this. I mean, I love it. Nevada.
But Tresil's one of my favorite people in the whole world. And I don't think people have an idea one one hundredth of a good thing. So that guy does, if they do that, then you'd be like, like, they want to, they'd run for Pope, but he's such a good man. And so, you know, I rock that he got caught up in a scandal because such a good man, such a positive influence on so many young people. But I love me some Jim Tresil. Yep. And then last thing before we get out of here, shout out to Justin Spiro. What's up, brother? We still got to get you back on even with the season started. We got to, we got to get you back on at some point, but he had a post today. Go check his Twitter on X Nevada. I don't know if you saw he tacked, he might attack both of us. He tagged me, but it was a, he was talking about Mike Hart. And, you know, basically saying he wasn't going to say, oh, how state were cheaters for the tattoo gate stuff because it didn't affect the game on the field, all the other stuff. He was basically saying kudos to Mike Hart for being one out of the 12 that were interviewed that did not attack Tresil in a house state for cheating. It's, it's,
it's a good article. Go check his ex out. Great job. Shout out to Justin Spiro. I don't know if you saw that Nevada. I didn't see it, but good article and in Justin Spiro or synonymous. So, yeah, we got to get him on the show. I missed, I missed me some Justin. Yep. Yep. If you out there, Justin, man, Holler out as soon, but, but anyway, listen, great show. Great show. We love y'all. We're getting one day closer y'all tomorrow. Be three days until a house they place football again. So I'm excited, but any last words for we bang out of here in Nevada. Now, I just, I, I love that gym or that gym that Ryan Day is so excited about this team. I know I'm so excited about this team. And I think when people see this team on Saturday, they're going to be really excited too. I think you guys ran for a treat. Yep. Same here. And like you said earlier, he can't withhold his glee. That just tickled me because it's true. It's true. So I'm excited. But look, until next time, Buckeye School family, Buckeye Nation, we love you. God bless you. Go Bucs and Peace.
