Head into spring ball spring balls right around the corner, y'all. It's the 10th, I believe, which is Tuesday. That's that's close. So we're going to have a lot to talk about and observe. And then of course, we're going to we're asking the question of the other B the B ball buck eyes. See I'm rocking the Jersey to extra clean Jim Jackson era grade joint. Are they going to make the tournament? We're going to talk about it. There's still some questions and confusion, but we're going to talk about it. I'm also remember when you send us one of the super chats helps to go towards the pay it forward, which is our military and our first responders. We're going to look out for them because they always look out for us. Nevada. What's up, brother? How are you feeling on this Friday evening? To wearing your Christian Jersey today, man, I'm liking, I'm liking that. You know, Chris, I, Chris was one of my all-time favorite players. And then he, he, the game against that. Remember, we're putting that cheating Michigan team.

And, uh, and he missed that little, uh, little baseline thing right at the right. I think that's right. My mind's not betraying. I love me some Christian boy Michigan. Michigan really has, uh, they've been cheating for a while and just about everything long time, long time, long time. They've taken it to a new level now, but, uh, yeah, the cheating Wolverines kept us out, but not that they can't keep us out this year. We're going in. And I'm telling you, we're a hot team right now. And where you're always looking for around this time of year is a team. You need to have a couple of bigs that can defend, you know, seven footers when we have that. We have a great shooting, you know, we're shooting really well right now. And you want to have a veteran point guard and we've got that. So like, we've got kind of the pieces to make a little mini runner. Maybe shots and people. So, uh, I'm excited for, uh, for March, Madison and what spring balls five days away or Tuesday or four days away or whatever it is. So I mean, I'm like, the off season, the off season is officially over with the start of spring ball. So I am color me excited, man.

Definitely. We're definitely going to get back much more and to Buckeye basketball, uh, in a little bit. We're going to start off with the spring football stuff. I got a lot to say about both. But yes, it's the 10th. So that's this upcoming. Let me, let me count today's a six, seventh, eighth, ninth, yep, 10th. So it's coming up quick, y'all. And I'm excited. I mean, can you believe that Nevada? I mean, it just felt like we just like day, man. You know, lost in Miami and boom, it's spring. And so I'm super excited. Like I said, the weather here in Columbus was lovely today. And I'm hoping the spring game will be the same. But also, before we get really get into it, wanted to shout out Patrick Green, as we mentioned the other day, condolences, you know, to him and his family, his mother pass. He's here in the city for the funeral. I was able to link him up with Brian Fogo to get the Buckeyes to pass out. And he sent me some pictures. Nevada, he got a chance. Did you ever, did you ever see the video?

I posted of the tour that I took in Brian's and Brian's crib. Okay. Okay. So he got a Patrick got the tour. And you know, after every tour is a, you take a picture in his living room around all this stuff. And he got that picture. I thought that was dope. Man, I just thought you were going to drop by and grab the Buckeyes and bang out. But I'm glad you got to go in there because it's definitely a sight to see Nevada. Yeah, sounds. I mean, look, sounds great. And yeah, this is a tough times. Don't last tough people do and and glad to see things, things working on the way that they're working out. Absolutely, absolutely. All right. So yeah, let's get into this great nugget from the scoop board. All right. It's talking about the buzz and, you know, a lot of good intel head into the spring. And I wanted you to kind of kick it off. I got some, some things I wanted to touch on. I got excited about one particular item.

I'm not because it's just so earth shattering. I just thought it was dope. But wish your thoughts on the nugget from the helping technician about some things. Arthur Smith and Julian saying duo Ryan Day, you know, some players highlight it. Wish your initial thoughts on that nugget in Nevada. Well, it's just going to, it's really going to help Ryan Day this year in more ways than anybody will ever imagine having Arthur Smith as his offensive coordinator. And, you know, having a guy that arguably knows as much or more about offense than you do, you know, certainly is it stands and start contrast to where he was last year in 2025. And, you know, Arthur Smith has already come in a couple of things that I noted. It was a bunch in there. But there's a couple of things that I'll highlight. Maybe it wasn't saying maybe they're not. But one was, you know, Arthur Smith now giving Julian saying the ability to change protections up from something he didn't have last year.

And, you know, part of that's, you know, his inexperience part of that is Brian Hartlein's inexperience, but he was not able to slide protections to where he thought your pressure was going to be coming from. And now they, you know, Arthur Smith's already coming to look, we're going to do this. And this is going to be one of the early installs in terms of the springs. That's something we'll expect to see, you know, throughout 2026 football. Obviously, Arthur Smith, a big offensive line guy, cares a great deal about what happens in that room with those guys and obviously realizes what an integral part that is to offensive line success. And I just think it's going to be a night and day difference, you know, on the offensive line, how they protect, you know, how we attack the other defenses, you know, up front with our winning game. So I think it's going to be a complete change in terms of offense. Not change of philosophy, but a change in terms of execution in 2026 and 20 versus 2025. And the second thing was there was like a little saying that I thought was great, which is when in doubt put four in the route.

And, you know, last year they had a couple times where they would run and they'd run two man routes or they'd run three man routes. And what they're finding is when you run four man routes. And one of those four men is JJ Smith. It puts just so much pressure on the defense to cover like they may be able to cover move. It's a two manner. They may be able to cover into three men route because they can they can bracket them. But when it's a four man route, they really can't do that. And I think Arthur Smith has identified that right away saying, look, I know this puts some of our pressures on our guys up front, but I think we can handle it. I believe our quarterbacks mobile enough to be able to move around. I think offensive lines be enough to block them up. But we're going to be putting four guys in route with regularity. And that is another change from last year's offense. That's another thing that will definitely stress out opposing defenses. And, you know, look, we're trying to run the offense in 2026 through Julian saying last year. We're trying to let it around him because he was the freshman hadn't played before this year. He's the centerpiece. He's the trigger man that are running everything through Julian. And I'm excited to see you.

You know, again, spring football starts Tuesday, you know, four days away. We're all going to get a chance to see it here relatively shortly. But I think the author Smith thing is going to be a huge ad for Ryan Day and certainly a huge ad for the Ohio State offense. I definitely agree. And speaking of ad, we have an addition to the coaching staff. You mentioned online being better. Well, this gentleman is going to help that Mateo Camboy Camboy, not sure how to pronounce that. He worked under Arthur Smith with the Steelers and the Falcons. He's going to replace Marcus. I forget his last name. The assistant who left. He's going to replace him. So remember, we can have multiple coaches, multiple assistants now. So this young man will be coming in to help out Nevada wanted to update the people about this. Any thoughts on this? Well, I mean, I, you know, there's a selfish part of me that was hoping that that position would be filled by Mike Brewster, you know, great former but guy, you know, the guy.

But then, but look, Arthur Smith's going to bring in his guys. This is a guy that Arthur Smith's had experience with. He's comfortable with them. He's coached under him before. And he wants to bring his guy. This is Arthur Smith putting his imprint further, putting his imprint on the OSU offensive room. I have no problem with it because at the end of the day, the offense is Arthur Smith's. The defense is mathematicians and the team is Ryan Day. And that's the way that it should run. You should those guys should be the buck stops with them. And when the buck stops with you, you get to pick your people. And he's getting to pick it. I have no problem with it. I'm excited about it. Definitely. I agree. Bring your guy in. Bring him in. But yeah, before we kind of move on to the next part to the nugget that I told you I was excited about. Julian saying, again, it's just funny Nevada. I, my ears to the street. And there's still people who just are downplaying. And Julian saying, I just, I laughed because he went to New York. He was in New York. Was he perfect? No, he was young. And he showed his youth at times towards the end of the season against two really good teams.

And still put up really good numbers, made some mistakes. But he was no bum by any means. But he's still learning the jump from year one to year two. Adding Arthur Smith. It's just like, all right, y'all can sell stock if you want. Go ahead. And then you'll be quiet or you'll be acting like you never said it. You know, when it's time comes to eat crow. But why would you, it's okay to say Julian made some mistakes in the games, some young inexperienced mistakes. He needs to get better. I believe he will, et cetera. You know what I'm saying? You don't have to just completely just, oh, well, no, what's up with Tavy? I'm saying clear who I'm high on, who I think has a high ceiling. I think it'd be really good. But Julian saying is still a really good college quarterback. And I just think he's Nevada. I'm tripping because he was excellent last year for a first year starter. I can't even imagine how much better he's going to be this year, bro.

I mean, be, it's, I mean, last year at this time, people were wondering whether he was going to be the starting quarterback or whether it was going to be Lincoln Keynes. You know, I'm saying that was an open discussion. You know, is this guy good enough to be our starting quarterback? So then, so then he goes on 3600 passing yards, 32 touchdowns versus 80 in receptions, can be rating of 177.5 completion percentage 77%. While also being third in the nation in yards per attempt. So like, and getting, and remember at the beginning of the year, I'm like, hey, Julian saying it's going to get invited to the Heisman ceremony in New York. That was like the wildest thing. That was like, oh, Nevada's been drinking again. What's going on? I mean, he has a freshman eligible quarterback that invited to the Heisman ceremony. Like, how many, how many times does that happen? I guarantee it's not not been often, right?

I mean, I ought to go back and, you know, hit the Google machine or the rock machine or whatever, but having a freshman eligible quarterback at the Heisman ceremony, I guarantee it hasn't happened that often. He's never happened for the Ohio State quarterback before ever. So, yeah, to say he had a good seat. I mean, he was exceptional last year. Absolutely exceptional last year. And you're right. He's only going to get better at the idea that he's going to improve over a 77 completion percentage is kind of, I mean 77. Yeah. Yeah. People are wacky, man, but hey, that's what people do. I'm excited to see what you're doing. Do people do that? Or is this Ohio State thing? I mean, do Ohio State fans just have crazy expectations out of whack expectations? Or because I'm telling you, like, I, you know, I follow you say I thought, well, I follow USC football. So I follow the other programs, not the liberal, I follow Ohio State, but I'm familiar with them. I don't remember that those people being as wacky in terms of crazy expectations, you know, fire Ryan Day, Jim Nol sucks, Chip Kelly, isn't any good.

I mean, you know, I mean, this, this kind of stuff, I just, I just hear this stuff and I'm like, I just have to shake my head. Is this Ohio State thing or is this just a crazy person thing? I think we're among the top of the food chain as far as the crazy takes. I remember Sabin always railing on fans and media at Alabama. Like the crate member, he used to talk about the crazy expectations. So I think we're up there in that air, but yeah, the UCLA is an even USC can't compare to the craziness here because USC and UCLA, well, you say LA is not USC. And they, it's LA, you know, I'm saying like, here, this is it that we are the pro team here. And so I think we're, it's a very limited group and we might honestly be the only one now. Now that Sabin's gone. So I just know our fan base to me, the top, the high IQ in our fan base is great. We have the smart fans are extremely smart, but the dumb fans are extremely dumb.

Tell us who you are and what you do. I'm Dan Morgan. I'm an attorney and a managing partner at Morgan and Morgan, which is America's largest injury law firm. That's pretty awesome. I think I saw Billboard years recently that said 20 billion won. 20 billion is insane number. Yeah, 20 billion recovered. It's actually, I think, somewhere north probably closer to 22, 23 after this year.

And each year we get bigger and better and our army grows. So the number will hopefully keep getting bigger and bigger as time goes on. Awesome. So how does someone get in contact with Morgan and Morgan? What would I do if I got into an accident? Probably the easiest way is dialing pound law. It's pound 529 from your cell phone. We are always open. Our call center is always waiting to take your call 24, 7365. Wow, Dan Morgan from Morgan and Morgan America's largest injury law firm. Thanks for coming by the show. Thanks for having me. Visit forthepeople.com for an office near you. Does that make sense? I'm trying to explain that to what I see in this fan base. We have great fans. And I think herb she talks about the what is it to the two percent. I forget what you called it. Trusted all the miserable. Trusted all the miserable. Yeah, he did. And then he should have never walked that back. He should have said, nope. That I said what I said. No politics on that. But but no, but no, not not to belabor the point.

I think you're on to something we have the largest fan base per New York Times per whatever publication. That's the one thing. So we have a huge sample size. The minority of our fan base, the lunatic fringe is is bigger than some fan bases. So they seem like they're dictating things when they're really not because they're the vocal minority. But I got said our upper echelon smart fans are very smart. They can bang with any fan base in the country, but it's just we've discussed some some goofies in our fan base, man. Who have unrealistic expectations. They'll try to pine it off like, oh, we have a standard. No, you don't like stop conflating that we all have a standard. We're an excellent program. Okay, but what y'all jokers is doing is just unreasonable, a logical and just ridiculous with some of the expectations. So anyway, Nevada, you got anything on that?

Well, yeah, just because I just look at like Julian San and like, what more could you've asked out of a first year starter at quarterback in Ohio State than what he did? You know what I'm saying? He should have been 78%. He should have thrown no interception. He's like, what, where, you know, where does it fall in there? You know, like, I mean, he had the best freshman year of any freshman eligible quarterback in the history of college football, the highest QB rating in Ohio State football. I mean, I just, you went out of superlatives when you talk about the guy, all when he wasn't thinking and dunking down the field. So I just, I mean, I understand that there's everybody's, you know, I always get this Nevada. I'm entitled to my take. I'm like, yeah, you're telling your take, but if you're taking stupid, I'm going to say it's dumb. So replace Julian San, just, I mean, I just thought, I'm just not even understanding. And when he's gone, when he goes the NFL, like, I really hope the next guy is as good as he is. Because the standard is going to be really, really, really high in that quarterback room.

The last thing I'll say on this is that again, just to bring it around, we're not saying, we're not saying, you know, see what I did there that Julian, that Julian can improve. That's one of the first things I said, he's going to, he needs to improve Ryan Day in Arthur Smith are saying, okay, these are the areas we can improve on Julian. Here's where we're going to help you. He's going to get better. He's not a finished product. You know, can he go, can he be a little sharper with maybe some of his reads, maybe there's things he's missed. Sure, freshman quarterbacks going to miss that. Could he know and have a better fill of the game or when to take off and run to move the chains? Absolutely. We've talked about that at Nazim. There's little things that he can continue to get better at, but there's notion that he's a bum and who's up next and I don't have any any trust in him is just dumb. And that's what we're saying. So don't don't get it twisted. That's the type of stuff we're talking about Nevada, but on the nugget, I want to get back to this nugget.

One thing, excuse me, I was, I was like, yeah, this is dope is the new tradition from Ryan Day, a gold pants ceremony. And it's going to be the day before pro day, where all, you know, where everybody's back in town. I thought that was dope, you know, nice little ceremony for the gold pads. I think we're about to start another streak. Shoot, we might go 10 straight this time. What do we do last time eight eight or nine straight without cheating? Yeah, I think we're about to start a new streak. And this is a great ceremony to start their streak Nevada. Yeah, no, I love the fact that Ryan Day is comfortable enough in his own skin to change some of the traditions to add to some of the. The gold pants are an act. I totally agree. I think that that should be a thing. It should be, you know, during the time when, you know, when guys are going to be there when you're in a position to get it. And no, I love it. I love it. But I do think it says stuff about Ryan Day as a person, though, because he's not the same young inexperienced head coach that took over in 2019, trying to find his way.

Like you can tell now, like he's the big boss band. He's the guy that's been here. He's the one of the elder statesman in the big 10 and in college football and in general. And he's totally comfortable changing when they do, you know, the, the band thing during Michigan. You know, he's changed. You see in your tackle. I mean, he's changed a lot of things about the traditions around Ohio State. Because he didn't feel like it was kind of appropriate to the time and recognize the change. But I like the gold pants ceremony. I know some people that are going to that and are really excited about about going and seeing that thing and I agree with you. I think we're about to go on a little, another, another run. And I'm not sure when the next time Michigan's going to be able to, to step up and play with us. I think it's going to be a bit. Yeah, I definitely agree. And they deserve another run up on the scoreboard for sure after everything that transpired. And then also a part of the Nuggets Caleb Downs, possibly not, you know, working out.

And to me, you know, over the years, I've thought about that, you know, because some, he's like, okay, vamp, why don't you want to work out and show what you can do. And the question is, what's the upside to that? I mean, what is the upside to Caleb Downs working out? I mean, there's analysts who are unanimously saying that he is, I would say the most complete prospect in the draft. Some are saying the smartest, matter of fact, let me pull this up. I'm not going to play the clip, but you got, you know, map Patricia or interviews talking about how he's, map, Patricia would know, map, Patricia would know, he's been around some smart football players. Okay. And he calls him the smartest player he's ever seen, you know, coming out of college. And so I would love to see Caleb Downs go and do great numbers and run the 4D and, but I'm not tripping if you don't work out, Nevada. I think he's going top 10 regardless at this point. Do you think anything has changed with that, or do you still think he's a top 10 pick?

I think it's struggling with the mute button. I am not struggling anymore. There was a picture of Caleb Downs, like a body shot of Caleb Downs in the uniform in this little sequence, or map, Patricia, do you have that that could you freeze on that? Oh, yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about. Is this due to action figure? Let me go back. It's right here. Stop. We're all gold. Yeah. Well, one, yeah, he's an action figure, but two, I can't get over the fact that they don't wear knee pants. There's basically weren't shorts out there. Did you know I'm saying like that? That's like, like, like, BMOS is lined up by the pool during the summer or something like that. And they're like, I mean, in that crazy that they don't need more knee pads or anything anymore. I thought about that. I mean, because back in our day, I mean, I had knee pads cover my knees fully. I mean, even as a, even as a receiver. So, I mean, I get it because obviously it makes you faster, but dang, it's just like one shot to the knee with that helmet, you know, out.

I guess it's worth, it's worth the risk to be more fluid and fast out there in Nevada. Yeah, now he, he, he certainly, yeah, he certainly looks the part, but no, he's definitely going to be. I absolutely think it'd be a top 10 pick. I, there's actually a proposition that you can make on where there are all Reese is going to be the second pick in the draft because you know, Mendoza is going to be the first. And there's a lot of noise about our values to the jets with the second pick. And I think, I think that's what I'm going to go with as well. But yeah, it's, it's going to be a very top heavy draft for the butt guys. I mean, it's going to be a deep draft all the way around, but. I mean, four guys in the top 10 very, very likely that that happens with Ohio State coming off the 14 players last year. It's just a crazy, crazy draft all. You really shows how good and how talented that Ohio State, you know, football team was last year. And, you know, it's, it's really going to set the standard for 2026 because I've said all along that I think 2026 is really the year for our state to, you know, follow up that 2024 national championship.

But boy, we were deep in 2025. It's so many really good players and, you know, going to miss them, but none more than Caleb Downs and Caleb Downs was truly was the, it's kind of a trade expression. The old coach on the field expression, but he really was the coach on the field, you know, he really was the guy that got everybody else in the right spot was, you know, he might have missed one tackle at Ohio State and maybe, you know, I mean, like he was the human eraser, maybe this was like, I mean, he just saved so many big plays. And I just think he's just going to be absolutely a fantastic pro, you know, for some team and hopefully it's one of the teams that I root for because he's just a fantastic athlete and fantastic player. Definitely. And real quick, you mentioned Arville Reese. To me, yes, you know, Ohio State, oh, because I see comments like, well, of course you guys, you get all these five stars. Listen, man, Arville Reese and Kate and Curry to me, Nevada are the poster children for the prime examples of development.

Arville Reese did not come in here as a five star can't miss. Oh, my God. This is the guy, the crown jewel of the class. He didn't. He was developed. Kate and Curry came in here as a, hey, you know what? I think he could be a good football player out of Indiana. He's nice. Like he was a good prospect, but not a five star can't miss guy. And again, before last year. Looking for excitement, Jamba Casino is here. Wow, Dan Morgan from Morgan and Morgan America's largest injury law firm. Thanks for coming by the show. Thanks for having me. Visit for the people dot com for an office near you. Nobody except for a book I scooped me in Nevada. We called this out on a podcast that we felt that Kate and Curry was going to have a breakout year.

And he did, but nobody else was. And now he's going to go. I would say before this season Nevada, what do you think his staff on his staff, his draft projection was before the 2025 season. Kate and Curry just off the head. I mean, if I'm being honest, I would say undrafted free agent. Yeah, that's my point exactly. My point exactly. And now we don't know yet. But where do you think his highest round that he can go in? The highest, maybe the third. Okay. Okay. I agree. I think he could be a third round pick to me. That is him. Is that not amazing? Nevada? For Kate and Kurt to go third. He's just one of those. One of the guys that, you know, I think a football player like Kate and Curry somebody's going to get a steal there because he's a guy that's productive. And, you know, I, I, I priced productivity over everything else. And, you know, how many times you have to see guys come into the league.

Not everybody in the league is a first round draft pick. In fact, you know, the league is consists of two different constituencies, first round picks and undrafted free agents. Those are the two highest percentages of players on NFL rosters. More so the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth. It's first round picks and undrafted free agent. So guys can come from all over the place and make teams. And I think came. He's going to be a later pick for some team. And he's going to be super productive and people are going to be going. Wow, where did this guy come from? Like, well, we know we've been saying it all, but you were the one. I mean, in fairness, I wouldn't that high end. I liked Caden a lot as a person, but I didn't think he was going to be a great player in 2025. You did. You were like, I really think Caden Curry is going to be. And he, you nailed it on that one because he was, I mean, he overachieved just about everybody's expectations, but yours, but you had that one nails kudos to you on that one big. Thanks. And I'll say this. The only reason about it. I was confident enough to say that is because I'm kind of crazy. I go back and watch games. I'm going to go back and watch the games again.

Just because I'm, I'm just, I'm crazy. I'm a crazy person. But I went back and watched all of the games. And I saw Caden Curry making plays. He was around the ball. He was doing things that were going unnoticed. And that's what kind of prompted me to say, I think he's about to break out. You can see it. He's, he's right there. So, but anyway, it's wanted to make the point that Ohio State is not just pushing out five stars who don't need developed. Arville Reese is going to go from, you know, four star guy who, yeah, go, okay, cool, Glenville. Yeah, he should be good to possibly number two almost definitely top 10. Like, come on now. Will you talk about recruiting and, and this program and development. Come on, man. That's like the gold standard example right there, Nevada. I just wanted to really put that out here because that's amazing to me. This NFL draft is going to do wonder. I mean, not that Ohio State doesn't have a high enough brand profile with recruits. But this one's really going to put a stamp on it that, you know, Ohio States, where you go, if you want to become a premium talent, because this, this draft will be unlike any other one in Ohio State history in terms of the number of guys taken at the top of the first round.

Before in the top 10, absolutely could happen. I expected to happen. And that's just that, that's insane that we're talking about it. Yep. And then one other thing before we move on to Buckeye basketball, Kenyatta Jackson, Kenyatta Jackson, you mentioned this yesterday. And I think it was, I don't think it's really appreciated him coming back another year. I feel like it's huge for this team. He said, but also huge for him. I think he's going to end up going first round, Nevada. I think he's going to play himself into the first round in this defense, because I think he's another guy. Sure, he may play last year. He was really good. He was one of our best liners. But I think there's another level. And I think he was knocking at the door last year. And I think he's going to explode to that next level this year and work himself into the first round. Do you agree? Well, there were games last year where he was on blockable. I mean, he had, you know, he had those games. And the idea that he could take it from there were games where he did it well to where he dominates the whole season.

I don't think that's great. I mean, I think that's probably a likely outcome for him. And frankly, we need it. We need some guys to step up to be dominant players, to be leaders in that defense. And Kenyatta, yeah, I thought when he came back, I didn't think it got the fan fear that it probably should have. I think people, you know, it's like, oh, great. Kenyatta, Jackson, come back. I think it's a huge thing for us at these back. And I expect them to have a massive season for us in 2026. Definitely, definitely, definitely. I agree. Excited spring ball starts next Tuesday. March 10th. We will be all over it per usual. It's going good, man. Tell us who you are and what you do.

I'm Dan Morgan. I'm an attorney and a managing partner at Morgan Morgan, which is America's largest injury law firm. Wow, Dan Morgan. From Morgan and Morgan, America's largest injury law firm. Thanks for coming by the show. Thanks for having me. Visit forthepeople.com for an office near you. Definitely. I agree. So listen, what else is an awful lot of fun is the fact that our Buckeye basketball team is peaking at the right time.

According, according to the famous Joe Lanardi, we are off the bubble for those asking because they're still debating about it or still people who are still trying to. We got to win three more games. Nah, not really. Right now we are off the bubble. We're projected as a 10 seed in the tournament. Now, obviously we need to take care of business against Indiana tomorrow. And that's more so for solidifying. We can get a double buy in a big 10 tournament, which is huge and get a favorable matchup. Maybe USC and what was the other team UCLA maybe two teams that we both beat. I think that would be huge. But tomorrow is big Nevada Indiana at the crib senior day. Bruce is let me go and pull this up. Bruce is 12 points away. 12 points away from becoming the all time leading scorn on how to stay basketball history.

That's amazing to me. In this kid and I want you to weigh in on this, but I want to give this kid his props, man, because he's going to absolutely smash that tomorrow. We know this senior day, really solidify and punch your ticket to the tournament, get you a nice scene in the big 10 tournament. Go out with a bang as far as playing at home. I think tomorrow's a big day for the dealer Bruce Thornton in this program for where they're at right now, Nevada. What you got? Yeah, no, I think it's it's been great. It kind of reminds you how fun it is when Ohio State basketball's playing good because you know March has relevance again. Frankly, when we're not in the tournament, I know people love March, but when we're not in the tournament, I'm, you know, my interest level goes down about 95%. You know, so, yeah, I'm excited that, you know, that we have a chance to not only make the tournament, but I think we could surprise some people because, you know, lower seats have made runs and when you do that, like I said, have a veteran point guard, have bigs, be able to treat them all well.

We can do all those things. And I think, you know, we're the kind of team that could give people problems in the playoff because we're plants all well right now. And, you know, that's, yeah, that's attribute to the coach and coach dealers really got the guys going and I don't see a start for the years, you're senior point guard and having Bruce have a chance. It's fitting that he become the all time score. The one thing I wish, I wish we had a better home court advantage. I wish, you know, I don't understand how a school like Ohio State can't just have the most crazy basketball environments out there. I just, I just don't understand it. You know, I mean, like it's, it's for me. I said my, my background is professional sports, specifically minor league sports or minor sports, you've got to get people, you've got to convince people to come to see your game. You know, and, you know, they have to make a conscious choice to come to the Ohio State. How many, how many kids do you have on the campus?

50, 50,000 or whatever, you know, like you've got a captive audience of people that are, that are always looking for something to do. And if you give them something to do, and then make it fun, and I thought I'm a certain sport event, there is absolutely no reason that the Ohio State basketball shouldn't just be mayhem every night. Because I tell you, minor league baseball, we can never control whether we want to lose. In fact, our teams and Dayton lost way more than they want, but we sold out every game. We don't have to have, it doesn't need to only be about winning. Of course, winning helps. But if you make it fun, people will come out. If you make it a tradition and fun, people come out year after year. I just don't understand how we don't have a, a better home court advantage for Ohio State basketball, because when it gets going, it's crazy, but it should be getting going every night and I just, I don't know why we're not doing that. Well, we know, St. John arena was rocking. Oh my goodness. St. John arena was that deal back in the day. It's smaller. It's a smaller venue, less capacity.

And I think Ohio State saw, you know, and listen, from a business standpoint, shopping scenes arena makes a lot of sense. Concerts and events, they're making money off of that. But it's not a great arena for basketball. Now it's a nice arena. It's very, it's a lovely facility. But as far as intimidation and rocking, it just, it just doesn't fit the bill like the St. John arena did. And that's just the facts. So there's that about it. I mean, I think that's the biggest thing is the venue difference. But, you know, business wins in these situations. Yeah, but, you know, and I agree with you 100%. I mean, you know, one of the biggest things that I, when I advise major league teams, one of my biggest things I say is always to cut back on seats, you know, make them group areas. Do whatever you want to do, but the reason why the Boston Red Sox for such a tough ticket for so many years is because they only had 34,000 tickets. And I'm saying, remember when Cleveland had, you know, old municipal stadium or what, you know, 80,000 seats and, you know, they fill up like one time a year for like fourth of July.

And other than that, it was like empty, you know, I'm saying, build them smaller, man, control, create demand by controlling supply. I've always believed in that. I think I think Ohio State really missed it in St. John's because St. John's, it's a vertical building. Like when you know when you go up the top of that man, when you're there for like the skull session or something, it's kind of scary. Because you're either, but man, we were right on top of the court. And what a great basketball venue. And I definitely think they lost something when they moved from from St. John, so the shot for sure. Yeah, they did know what that said. You mentioned them making a run. And it's funny because I saw a thread started on Buckeye scoop sort of scoffing or kind of making fun at the Buckeye School Twitter account for suggesting that this team can make a run. Do you think it's crazy to suggest this team could let's say make it to the sweet 16. What do you, do you sneer at that? Or what is your thoughts on that? No, I don't, I don't like you, you're really going to have to you, you got to win two games to make the sweet 16 to games.

We just went into Penn State. I know it's Penn State, but we blew them up like 35 points. You know, I'm saying that was a game. And that's been a place that we've struggled traditionally and have strappy little team. You know, that to me is something we get hot if we're shooting the ball, we shot the ball extremely well and have been lately and we continue to shoot well. No, no telling how far this I mean, you know, you've seen teams like George Mason make deep runs as low seeds and think, why could no Ohio State do it? I think they absolutely can. They're getting hot. They're getting healthy at the right time. Hot and healthy is a really good combination going into the tournament. And I think we're a team to be to be reckoned with for sure. Yep, and I'll say this is what we need down the stretch to balance. We saw against Purdue and Penn State, Thornton had 20. I'm just looking at points now. Thornton had 20, mobility had 21, buying on 14, Royal 12, Tillie 7 against Michigan State. Thornton had 32, Tillie had 10. Everybody else had single digits. Now we didn't have royal and and mobility. That's a big deal.

But again, Penn State, mobility on fire, eight from nine from three 28 points, Thornton 18, buying on 14, Royal 14, Tillie 10. Well spread out, balanced. This is how this team is going to be able to make a run. And the bench, which is not existent, they need to come in and give good minutes, play good defense, rebound, hustle and scrap. If you can't contribute points, cups, then contribute defense. Contribute good solid high IQ basketball. You know what I'm saying? I don't think it's out of the question for this team to make a run. They're playing very well right now. Mobli is, is just crazy right now. I mean, he can't miss. So listen, I'm excited. I'm excited about tomorrow. I'm excited about this team making a tournament. And I'm excited for Bruce Thornton and respect the Jake Debler. Okay. Because again, you know, all the criticism, all the man is team sucks. Here we go again.

He just kept this team kept pressing kept pressing. And now they're right there. I think it's like a 87% 80% chance to make the tournament. They're going to be Indiana tomorrow. And I'm not going. I'm not jinxing them. I'm not. They're going to be Bruce Thornton is not losing on senior day. This team is healthy. Indiana's a good team, but they're not a great team. We're going to beat them tomorrow. And we're going to punch our ticket. And I'm excited Nevada. I think on that before we go to Super Jets. Yeah. No, I agree. I just I hope we stay hot. I hope we're getting hot. You can feel it. You can feel it around the program. It's like I said, it just March Madness is just better when the buccas are in it. And I just, I'm excited about March Madness for the first time in a bit. And then no small measure because Ohio State started to shoot the basketball. So well, hope that continues tomorrow. Same here. Stilly mat things for the one and nine trick daddy. Billy D Moses. Head coach of the Gs. I like it. That's like a Daenerys Targaryen, uh, you know, announcement first.

First to rename, what some of the andos, the unburnt, the, you know, just all the names that were given, but not as dope, once again, still the Mac coming through. I got a question for you in that. Like, how, like, like, you know, the guy that wrote, like, you know, the thing, like, how does he come up with all these different, you know, cause it's like, you know, cause it's like, you know, and then we'll have a thing and the guy that's defending it will be Sir Arthur Dane, who's known as the sword of the morning and his sword will be known as dawn. And dawn was a sword that was forged from the flyers of that. I'm just like, where in the world does all this stuff come? I'd be just like, okay, Bimosus came down and shot the basketball and scored two by him. Like, how can you think of nine different levels, deep on that stuff, man? That's exactly what I've thought. It's amazing that the level, again, for those who don't know,

we're talking about Game of Thrones, greatest show ever. There's so many layers to the storylines. There's so many different characters and layers to their individual storylines. And then of course, we're not even talking about the places, Winterfell and all the different places that you come up with and the things that happen in these places and very distinctive to these places. It's amazing. But look at the book of the Kings Garden. It's just that that kind of throw away comment from John for, you know, Sir Duncan the Tall, all four pages. He must have been quite the night, Sir Jamie. You know, you're thinking, oh, he's just on, but then that's the whole story on Sir Duncan. I mean, it's just, I mean, crazy, crazy, crazy. But anyway, you are trick daddy, Billy D. Trick daddy, Billy D. I agree. I still got to do that edit, man, Billy. Actually, I've tried to do a Billy D edit, but I didn't like the picture. I need to find a better picture. Works every time.

Every time. Works every time. What was it? Gold 45. Tyler Reddick here from 2311 Racing. Another checkered flag for the books. Time to celebrate with Chamba. Jump in at chambacasino.com. Let's Chamba. No purchase necessary, VTW Group. Boy, we're prohibited by mall. CTNC, 21 plus sponsored by Chamba Casino. I've got Dan Morgan here on the pod. Say hi, Dan. Hey, how's it going today? It's going good, man. Tell us who you are and what you do. I'm Dan Morgan. I'm an attorney and a managing partner at Morgan Morgan, which is America's largest injury law firm. That's pretty awesome. I think I saw Billboard years recently that said 20 billion won. 20 billion is an insane number. Yeah, 20 billion recovered. It's actually, I think, somewhere north, probably closer to 22, 23 after this year.

Our call center is always waiting to take your call. 24-7-365. Wow, Dan Morgan from Morgan and Morgan America's largest injury law firm. Thanks for coming by the show. Thanks for having me. Visit forthepeople.com for an office near you. Well, no, you got me thinking about anchors. No, that was 60% of the climate work. Sex Panther. That's right. Stilly Matt, Stakes Federal 1.99. Condonance is Patrick. God bless your mother. Absolutely Patrick. Again, last week on the show we talked about losing mothers. Anyone who's lost the mother, recently or otherwise, hearts go out to you. I'm one of those people. It's a big deal, man. So I'm prayers for Patrick and his family as he's here in the city. And again, shout out to Brian Fogel. What a great guy. Brian Fogel is a great dude. He's just that you can't sit out about everybody Nevada. And so he looked out for me and my son.

Showed my son love when we came through. And so good dude, he hooked them up with a chain too. Made him a custom Buckeye chain. So shout out to Brian Fogel. And God bless you Patrick. Nevada, you got anything on that? Yeah, God bless you and God bless your mom. And yeah, those are the hardest things ever. You will get through it. You'll never forget. But you can't move on, but you never forget. And it's always there with you. Absolutely. G-O-D, thanks for the five. Julian's saying it's QB1 period. Some of Buckeye nation needs to stop for real. Yep. Yep. That's the thing is it can be challenging. We have some great fans. I love our fans collectively. But we got some Boyle Boy man. We got some guys and girls who are crazy. And so anyway, yeah, I feel you G-O-D, anything Nevada? Yeah, I mean, he's QB number one in all of college football,

man, forget Ohio State. I mean, he's the man. And he's going to win the Heisman next year. So better get excited about him already. Yep. Yep. All right. Let me see. Mr. J. Root, thanks for the $199. These fans thought CJ was a bomb. Then McCord came. Yeah, but we know it's funny, Nevada. I remember that after the Minnesota game, I had fans, buddies, who won at CJ Stroud, bitched for Kyle McCord. And I was just like, just listen, man. Look, CJ Stroud got so much crap here. I've already talked about this. I'm not going to go in a long spill about it. But CJ Stroud was pretty darn good. And he had to play through the cheating scandal. He had to deal with the cheating scandal. So keep that in mind. But yep, I mean, fans are going to fan Mr. J. Root. It's just again, like Nevada said, you said it perfectly.

I'm entitled to my opinion. Yes, you are. But think. Listen, everybody can have their opinion, all right? Because to me, it's just like, we can disagree. But still, I thought, you know what? I don't really agree with that. But I understand the thinking it's logical. It makes sense. I don't come to that conclusion. Some of y'all just don't be thinking. You just be talking and saying stuff without actually logically thinking it through to make sure it actually makes sense. And it's actually feasible and reasonable. Some of y'all just be talking. And that's what I push back against, Nevada. Yeah, I mean, like we've had a history of being tough on our quarter. I'm J.T. Barrett. Nobody got more abused more than J.T. Barrett. And J.T. Barrett was one of the great college quarterbacks there in C.J. in recent years. So I guess we're, you know, and I just push back on the idea that, you know, and I know a lot of people really believe they really believe that it's just, it's these high standards.

They're holding to high standards that really makes Ohio State players and coaches great because, you know, we have such high standards and it's like, man, it's a weight of expectation can bury people. And, you know, and it really has affected some coaches and some players in really negative ways. And I just wish the fan base would just torn it down just a little bit. We can still have high expectations without, you know, pillering people every time they make a single mistake. Right. It's the entitlement. And it's the misguided entitlement. But it is what it is. J.O. did thanks for the five. The entire QB room will be better and more prepared because Arthur Smith is our OC. When, during the St. Leaves, Tayvan St. Clair will be ready to step in being with Arthur Smith for a year. Yep, I'm excited. I got told you earlier, I'm excited about St. Clair. I think he has all the tools. I think he'll get some valuable reps this year, you know, coming in at some of these games. And so, yeah, I agree. Anything on that Nevada?

Yeah, I think it's going to be really, really, really interesting to see do they go and try to get a veteran quarterback or do they try to continue to run with a kid developed here? You know what I'm saying? And I think anybody's saying that they know for sure what way that's going to go right now is just kidding themselves because they don't know. But I think that's going to be that that's going to really speak by, if they go with the developed quarterback another again, that's really something because that's going against the grain because everybody else is going to get in quarterback some of some of the school, everybody. And so, it'll be really interesting to see what Ryan Day and Arthur Smith do. And if they do go with Tayvan St. Clair, then they really believe because, you know, that would be the most ringing endorsement you could possibly imagine. Yep, it's a new era. It's nothing against TSC. I mean, he is just where we find ourselves now. But I don't know. We're going to see. I think TSC is going to step up and force them to say, hey, we're going to go with you. That's my prediction.

We'll see. All right. Stilly Matt, thanks for the 199. Shout out to the Scoot family. Y'all are so awesome. Yes, yes, y'all are. I agree. Buckeye Scoot family's dope. Y'all bend dope will always be dope. Best chat in the land. God love for y'all, Nevada. Well, yeah, and shout out to Steeley Matt because Steeley is a special dude. And the fact that he's always in here winging it. And there's just don't think we don't appreciate it because we do. We notice it. We appreciate it. And we appreciate it more than you know. We appreciate it, Matt. Thanks, buddy. Absolutely. Stilly Matt, the model of consistency and good character. Appreciate you. Geo did thanks for the five. I equate Caden Curry to Pete Warner at a certain level. Mid to four star kids who got better every year. Pete Warner turned himself into a second round pick. CC a third round to me. Yeah, I like that. Yeah, Pete Warner, he definitely, I still remember him smacking at Nebraska player, at Nebraska.

Do you remember that hitting Nevada? I do. Yeah, Pete was a bad man. I mean, Pete was a bad man. He went out there and did it and sat in terrific NFL career. And really, he was a really underrated player at Ohio State, underrated and underappreciated. I definitely don't think the fan base game is due because he was a heck of a ball player. Yeah, he was, man. And he's been doing well in NFL. All right. Geo did thanks for the two. If we make the 68, they'll bring Debler back shaking my head. So, okay, wow. Well, we see this differently. Well, first of all, I think based off of comments from York, he didn't come out and directly say it. But based off of recent interview, it seems to me, Dealer was getting another year anyway. That's just kind of me reading tea leaves. But with that said, if we make the tournament, I mean, all I care about right now

is making the tournament for Bruce Thornton and for this team. This team has won the most big 10 conference games in the last four years. Like this is the most they've won, even with Hoatman. So, I'm willing to give him another year. And, you know, and see what happens, especially if they make the tournament Nevada. Yeah, I'm struggling with that mute button again. No, I think he's the lock to come back. You know, if they make the tournament and you're showing improvement, I think he's got to bring it back. I mean, the only thing that I would often counter to that would be if you just had some home run higher in your hip pocket. And I don't know who that is. You know what I'm saying? But if you had a guy that they'd reached out to that said, I'm all come, now's my time. I could, then you could make a move on up. But short of that, short of having urban, the urban buyer of college basketball in your hip pocket, I think you give Warner, you give Dealer more time.

And I think he's certainly worthy of it. Yeah, I agree. And like I've said before, I'm not banging the table for Dealer to stay. I'm not team-dealer. He has to stay. That's my guy. I just want them to fix it. Whatever you need to do to fix the program to where we're consistent again, where we're, you know, making the tournament competing for championships, that's what I want. If that means Dealer's gone, fine. If that means, excuse me, Dealer stays with more resources, more NIL, more intentional, then cool. Just fix it. So that's how I see it. But right now, today, I'm team Buckeye Basketball and Bruce Thornton making this tournament. That's where I'm at. So all right, let me see. Geo did once again, thanks for the two. Blast for me. I never watched Game of Thrones laugh out loud, my bad. You got to watch it. And give it, listen, every show is going, you got to give the show a chance. I don't think it starts slow per se,

but just watch it, get into it, and trust me, you'll be hooked. Nevada. Yeah, look, I was the last person to watch, I didn't watch it when it was like, on, I, I, I, I only watched it in life after either that, you know, but it is the best series that's ever been on television. I mean, it is. I mean, and, and that's come from somebody who was not a throny, not a person, but you're, you're right, give it three, four, five episodes or whatever it is, but it's, um, it's an incredible show. And it's, it, it is the best show that I've ever seen. And I've, I've seen a lot, um, but, you know, it's the one that kind of let me wanting more and can't wait for the movie adaptation. And I watched the night of the Seven Kingdoms every Sunday night, now, and I can't wait for the house of the drag. And so it's, uh, it's, it's pretty, uh, pretty intoxicating, for sure. Yep. The only one of the only other ones that compare is breaking bad. Breaking bad is, is up there. Great show. Um, but yeah, Game of Thrones is just amazing.

It's amazing. And so, yep, you got to watch it. Got to watch it. All right. Um, Dennis Moore, thanks for the 49, how about our Lady Bucks? Big game tomorrow. Yep. They got UCLA, the one seed UCLA, um, tomorrow, big game. They look good. They've been, they've been pretty consistent. They've been more consistent than men's. So shut out to them. And there's another one from Donald Seals, thanks for the two. Lady Buckeyes, Iraq and OH Nevada. I owe. Yep, definitely be, uh, we'll be watching or checking out that, um, score at the very least, um, to see how they do. But yeah, I'll be rooting for the Lady Bucks as well. Nevada. Yeah, I need to get into them more. I haven't paid as much attention to them as I should. But I definitely, uh, definitely, definitely need to be doing that. And, and I'm glad, I'm glad they're doing well. Definitely, absolutely. Well, listen, listen, listen, listen. Hope everyone has a great Friday night, a fantastic Saturday. Buckeyes play, and I was thinking about going to the game tomorrow.

And maybe I still might, I don't know. We'll see 530 tip off at the shot against Indiana, senior day. Bruce Thornton is 12 points away from breaking the all time record. Uh, become of the number one, uh, score in a Buckeye history. So huge game tomorrow, uh, tournament seating implications tomorrow can really seal the deal and solidify a tournament, uh, you know, spot, uh, a way better seating than anyone could think we would have had two weeks ago in the big 10 turni and because remember, we still got a chance to get like even up to a seven seed, depending on how everything falls out. So just to kind of leave y'all on that, this Buckeye basketball team has went from dang man, they on the bubble, they might not make it again to if they went tomorrow, they can really solidify some things and be in a, in a good spot for them. And I'm very grateful for that. Any last words on that, Nevada?

Yeah, now seven seed would be, I mean, look, I'll take any seed, but if it's somehow they slipped into a seven, then going to the sweet 16 would not be crazy at all, but, um, just get in there. They're going to be a problem. Constructed winning tomorrow. So go win tomorrow, you should go to the game team B. Yeah, I was thinking about taking BJ to the game. He hasn't been since he was like a baby and it's the last home game. Um, now obviously I wouldn't, I wouldn't be on the pod tomorrow unless we went later, but, um, I don't know what we'll see. I'm thinking about it. You think I should go? I'm, I'm really thinking about it, man. I think you should go. I think you should go and, uh, bring the heat, bring, bring, bring the enthusiasm cheer on the victory and, uh, lead us into the tournament. I might have to do that, man. Let me hop on a stub hub or whatever after the show. Yeah, tick, tick, tick, pick, man, tick pick. They'll have some cheap tickets, man. I can get out of that. I'll see what's up, man. You might as well, or even, even even smarter, be, wait till about two hours before the game and get tickets on tick pick.

And I'm saying, you can, you can smag some stuff and really cheap. Yeah, that's true. That's true because it's not like it's going to be sold out. It won't be sold out. It's not good. You don't get to see it. Yeah, if this was the shoe, if you know, Texas, I'll be nervous about that. But yeah, yeah, but no, that's, that's cool. I'm, I might have to make that move, man. All right, cool. All right, listen, y'all. We love y'all always great, uh, rocket with y'all on this podcast. And we will see y'all next time. Go bucks, basketball bucks, be Indiana and go bucks in general. Peace.
