It's April 29th, Canada news today starts now, AI-powered and ready. I'm Corey with the story. Westbound Highway 401 in Ashewa finally reopened Tuesday after a nasty multi-vehicle crash spilled diesel everywhere. It kicked off around 9.10am near Harmony Road with a commercial truck slamming into two other vehicles shutting down all lanes. One driver walked away with just minor injuries, but the spill turned into a full-blown cleanup operation that backed up traffic for hours. Cops closed the highway at Cortus Road while crews handled the mess and it didn't clear until shortly after 1pm. Ontario Provincial Police are still digging into what caused the pile-up, so drivers stay sharp out there on the 401.
