Old Dominion Shooting: FBI Probes Terrorism

The FBI is probing it as terrorism. The gunman, a former Virginia National Guard member, died after students stopped him in a classroom. The suspect was Muhammad Baylor Jalow, who got out of prison this year after serving time for trying to help the Islamic State group. Back then, he wanted to copy the Fort Hood attack that killed 13 people. ROTC students in the class deserve huge credit for subduing him and likely saving more lives, according to FBI leaders in the Army Secretary. The victims were the instructor, a retired officer, and two Army personnel. Jalow walked into the business school building, asked if it was an ROTC session, yelled Allahu Akbar, and started firing. When police arrived, he was already dead, taken down by the students without gunshots. The FBI continues his terrorism investigation, noting no ties to overseas conflicts.
