Oil prices keep rising and weigh on Wall Street

0:00I'm Seth Soutal and this is the AP Market Support. Stocks drifted lower on Wall Street as traders returned from a holiday weekend. The S&P 500 fell 6.10% Tuesday. The Dow gave back 627 points that's about 1.2%, then as that composite fell 3.10%. Oil prices rose again as the war with the Rondragedon. The price of Brent crude got close to $100 a barrel. Climbing oil prices have gotten investors more worried about inflation. The government is putting out two reports on inflation this week, including the Consumer Price Index on Friday. The Federal Reserve holds its latest meeting on interest rates next week. The yield on the 10-year treasury rose to 4.79%. Seth Soutal, New York.
