About this episode
On November 10, Pastor Ryan Kimmel preached from Obadiah 10-18, challenging Christians to reflect on where their true loyalty lies. In light of the recent election, he expressed concern that many Christians show more passion for political leaders than for Jesus. Through Obadiah’s prophecy against Edom—a nation that turned against its brother Israel, standing by during Jerusalem’s destruction and even profiting from it—Pastor Kimmel warned that God judges not only our actions but also our failure to act when it matters. Yet, God’s judgment isn’t only about punishment; it leads to justice and restoration. Through Jesus, who took the judgment we deserve, we’re invited into hope and eternal life with God. Our “Mount Zion” is no longer a physical place, but the promise of being in God’s presence forever.
