On March 8th, a New York City police officer has died while serving in Kuwait. Major Sore fly Davies from the New York Police Department passed away on Friday, March 6th, at Camp Bowering due to a medical episode. He was a decorated army veteran and a dedicated NYPD member assigned to the 79th precinct in Brooklyn. Before heading overseas, Davies served on Joint Task Force Empire Shield, protecting key sites across the state. And our Kathy Hoko called him a true citizen soldier who spent his career safeguarding others. She highlighted his role in the New York National Guard's 42nd Infantry Division and the sacrifices people like him make every day. Davies deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation Epic Fury, aimed at countering threats from Iran. He was also a devoted husband and father, leaving behind a loving family. Our thoughts remain with his wife, children, colleagues, and all service members keeping a safe at home and abroad.
