Nurse's Birthday Meetup Turns Deadly

Both were married, and on October 28, 2024 her birthday, they planned a private meet-up in his SUV. The relationship ended violently that night. Evidence show Campatelli was dragged from the vehicle, with blood stains inside and scuff marks on her body. Perez had set up the back of his Tahoe, like a romantic spot, but he later claimed he skipped the plans because his son was sick. Family members described Campatelli as bold and fun-loving, though her marriage had struggles and they were in counseling. Her mother expressed shock over the affair, and horror at the killing. Noting her son-in-law wanted to save the family for their two young daughters. Perez spent 18 months piecing it together, using over 50 search warrants, interviews, cell phone data, and CCTV footage that caught Perez, discarding something nearby.
