As NPR's Franco-Ordonia reports, the president says the U.S. needs to stay focused on winning the AI race. President Trump dismissed growing concerns of AI, charging that people are making up scenarios that will never happen. He argued that the real threat is falling behind. We're leading China in AI. We're the most sophisticated country in the world. And frankly, I want to keep it that way, because whoever wins AI wins. Trump was asked about calls for more guardrails and a slowdown of industry advancements while he was attending the Irish Open at his golf club on the coast of Ireland. It's not just critics, but even some industry leaders who are calling for stronger regulations around the industry. These concerns grow about the advanced technology being misused. 1:04Pennsylvania officials are reporting the third measles-related death in the state so far this year. NPR Member Station WPSU's Sydney Roach has more. Jefferson County Corner Greg Furlong confirmed the death in a social media post this morning. Furlong says the 40-year-old Jefferson County woman died on Saturday from measles complications. The statement continues to say that no further details will be shared. The previous two measles-related deaths in Pennsylvania were reported in Lancaster County, where there is a large concentration of reported measles cases. Pennsylvania's Department of Health, which is leading a vaccination campaign amid the outbreak, administered more than 3,500 MMR vaccines last month. Ukrainian rail officials say a Russian drone struck a train near the border with Poland today, shortly after several visiting officials, including from the UK and the US, passed through that station. The BBC's James Landau reports.

2:06Russia is escalating its conflict with Ukraine and its new tactics involve targeting trains and border crossings. This morning, a special train was heading west, carrying VIPs home from a high-level conference and keiv. About an hour or so later, a Russian drone struck a locomotive in the very station that VIPs had passed through just on the Ukrainian side. Some passengers had been evacuated from trains, and there were no reports of casualties. Ukraine's rail operator said it was quite likely Russia had targeted the diplomatic train, because it had left the station earlier than planned. That's the BBC's James Landau. Indonesian rescuers say about 129 passengers and crew are missing, after a ferry carrying more than 240 people overturned in bad weather in the Java Sea. At least 108 people were rescued. Flag fans sits in a Bronze Age landscape in eastern England that includes the remains of a mysterious timber causeway and platform made 3500 years ago, one of the few of its kind ever found. But the ancient peat bog in which the causeway sits is drying out in an ever hotter Britain, and recent testings have confirmed that the timber and other ancient organic remains are deteriorating at an alarming rate. Now local heritage organizations have been given a million dollar grant, so archaeologists can accelerate their work excavating and preserving the site and just possibly unpaking just why those ancient Britons built it.
