Diesel prices remain at a record high price. The motoring club AAA says the average cost of a gallon of diesel is now $5.90. That's well over two bucks more than a year ago. The burden is heavy on farmers. From Member Station KCUR Frank Morris reports. Big farming operations by diesel by the tanker truckload. The people who run those farms tend to support President Donald Trump. But the spike in diesel prices, thanks to Trump's war with Iran, are straining that relationship. Well, I'm a Republican and I'm a farmer and I am pissed. Vance Amkey is about to start planting wheat on his farm in western Kansas. We'll probably use about 5,000 gallons to put in the crop. Just a rapidly escalating cost so you can't do anything about.

2:05regions in Southwest Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia said it affirms the right to defend its sovereignty and safeguard its assets following Houthi attacks on civilian and economic sites. The Houthi ballistic missile and drone attacks raised the specter of renewed war in Yemen following several years of tenuous truths. The Houthis say they struck a rampael oil sites and economic zone and an airbase in Southwest Saudi Arabia in response to a hundred and twenty-one Saudi air strikes across Yemen in the past three days, including one that struck a prison Monday. The Houthis say women and children were killed in that attack. Fighting between Saudi-backed Yemeni forces and the Houthis has also intensified near the Bebba-Lmndep shipping corridor.
