About this episode
Nov 26 SNAP is not a right
My friend Alexander was telling me the other day what's not in the Constitution. (0:05) If we didn't ask the government to be our health care provider, we wouldn't have had this ridiculous shutdown, or be paying such absurd amounts. (0:12) Is health care in the Constitution? No.
If we didn't pay people not to work, we wouldn't have the layabouts on the corner selling drugs. Is paying people not to work in the Constitution? No. (0:24) If we didn't feed people who refused to work, would we have these arguments about SNAP? Is feeding people in the Constitution? No.
(0:33) What about the EBT cards? They're not in the Constitution. (0:37) What about distributing our tax dollars overseas in the USAID program? (0:41) Is that in the Constitution? No. (0:44) Department of Education? No.
(0:46) I think it's about time we drain the swamp and get rid of everything that's not in the Constitution. (0:52)
