The low-cost service went from 160 in 2010 to 432 last year thanks the cost of living squeezes in one of England's poor spots. This hits families deep with funeral poverty on the rise and government aid falling short. The Nottingham option runs cremations for about 2,060 pounds, way under the 3,750 average from private outfits.
