Notre Dame's Sundra Enters Transfer Portal

0:00On March 24, Notre Dame's sophomore forward, Garrett Sondra has decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal when it opens on April 7. The 20-year-old made the announcement on March 24 after two seasons with the fighting Irish. Sondra joined Notre Dame as a three-star recruit from Paul VI Catholic High School in Virginia back in the class of 2024. Over 52 games, he started 16 times, all during the 2025-26 season, while averaging three points per game on. 56% shooting and 2.5 revounds. He expressed deep gratitude to coach Micah Schruzberry, the staff, and his teammates for the opportunities and lifelong friendships he built during his time there. This marks the second departure from Notre Dame's class of 2024-Synees this week, following guards Sir Mohammed into the portal. With strong high school interests from schools like Iowa, Maryland, Miami, Penn State and others, Sondra now looks ahead to new opportunities as the portal window approaches.
