Welcome back Norway's late king Harold the Fifth has been laid to rest in Oslo. It was a grand royal funeral almost two weeks after his passing. Let's go live now to Bendowney, who is in London for us now Ben. And abundance of European royals came to bid in farewell. Yes, Monter were alongside many other European heads of state and those from around the world and importantly the thousands of Norwegian citizens who affectionately refer to King Harold as their collective grandfather. His successor King Hocken marched behind his father's coffin on his journey to Oslo Cathedral. Behind him and his family were the Prince of Wales, William representing his father, King Charles, as well as Princess Anne, who is actually Godmother to Norway's new monarch. Australian-born Queen Mary of Denmark was also there alongside Frederick. There they are, getting their best wishes to Queen Sonja also, who is now. We know, controversially though, the King's new son-in-law was also there, granted permission
to intend despite being on house arrest following his recent rape conviction. But the scandal didn't affect the solemn ceremony after his mass, the coffin returned to the crypt to be laid to rest before the somber mood gave way to an uplifting one. Norway's cheering as flags were hoisted to their full height, ending the 13-day period of mourning and welcoming the world family back as it enters a new era for the nation. Mon. Thanks very much, Ben Downey for us there.
