North Belfast Stabbing: Charges Dropped, Court Hearings Continue

Meanwhile, the first man charged, 35-year-old Jonathan Beggs, showed up in Bill fast magistrate's court this past Saturday. He's hit with wounding, with intent to cause serious harm, carrying a knife for that purpose and disorderly behavior. His lawyer says Beggs claims the so-called victim stabbed him first, that victims still laid up in the hospital, under arrest, and cops haven't questioned him yet. No bail for Beggs, he got remanded, and his case pushes to next month. Folks in the area are on edge, as these clashes stir up old tensions in the neighborhood.
