A Chatham man has been charged for allegedly spitting at a local worker. It happened yesterday morning at around 9 on Grand Avenue West in Chatham. The man was gone when police arrived, but they quickly found him walking nearby. He was arrested and charged with assault and resisting arrest. A new pediatrician has joined Chatham can health alliance. Dr. Jushan Uppall brings the number of experienced specialists on CKHA's pediatric team to 6. 1:03drivers stay vigilant. The number of fatalities tends to go up on Labor Day Weekend and Constable Tyler Campbell says on the water nearly all fatalities are related to not wearing a life jacket. Most water-related tragedies are preventable. Whether you're voting, swimming, fishing, or spending time at the cottage, take a few simple precautions. Wear your life jacket, supervise children closely, stay sober, know your limits, and respect the water. Since 2015, there's been 76 fatalities over the Labor Day Weekend alone. Kids are heading back to the classroom next Tuesday and the CEOs of both local boards are looking forward to the new school year. St. Clair Catholic District School Board CEO Lisa Demers says it was a busy summer for capital projects. There are always projects that are happening. For example, St. Michael's Brades Grove has just gotten a new walking track that will be available to students to use outside in the playground. There are some shade structures that have occurred at some schools.
