The next phase of health is being shaped by owned infrastructure, sharper consumer positioning, and always on data. I'm Jovenery and this is the Fit Insider Daily Brie, where we bring you the top health and one of the stories of the day and under five minutes. Today's episode is brought to you by Fit Talent Partners, a specialized recruiting firm for Health and One's brands. And better within Fit Insider, we hope teams hire exceptional operators through trusted relationships and deep industry insight. Visit talent.fit.co to start hiring. Google has a new wearable. According to Bloomberg, Google is developing a new screenless Fitbit band aimed at devices like Woopin Ora, with a reported launch plan for later this year. The device would use a subscription model to unlock more functionality, pairing hardware with Fitbit's AI-powered health coach. For years, screen-based devices defined the wearable category. But now, devices are fading into the background, collecting continuous data without demanding constant attention. That changes the competitive dynamic.
Woop was just valued at $10 billion and Ora is reportedly eyeing an IPO. Now, Google appears ready to embrace and always on subscription-driven model. But this is bigger than one device. Screenless wearables are becoming a new battle ground in health tech. The hardware isn't radically different, but the business model is. The goal isn't to sell a gadget. It's to build daily habits and recurring revenue. Mars Men is proving men's wellness can scale. The men's focus supplement brand raised a $27.5 million series A led by El Caterton. The company was able to head on $100 million run rate profitably in under 18 months, while serving more than 400,000 customers. Mars Men sells subscription-first products built around natural testosterone support, energy, vitality, and performance. With fresh capital, it plans to expand the line, grow the team, and enter retail. The race is also validation for the category. Mars Men build a profitable, nine-figure run rate business before raising institutional capital.
Suggesting men's wellness is becoming a high growth consumer category, especially when it's packaged around performance, confidence, and daily function. Newm is building beyond behavior change. Newm acquired tailor-made compounding, a license 503A pharmacy operating in 46 states. Best known for weight loss and behavior change coaching, newm has been moving deeper into preventative care. Adding clinical programs, diagnostics, and prescription grade wellness. Now it's bringing pharmacy infrastructure in-house, as digital health platforms build vertically integrated stacks. With tailor-made, new plans to expand access to peptide-based therapies and healthy aging interventions, like NAD Plus, while moving into a preventative care model. Tailor-made also brings scale, infrastructure, and relationships with 400-plus clinics and telehealth partners. As the next phase of virtual care takes shape, platforms will control more of the fulfillment, data, and engagement, especially as prevention becomes more personalized and outcomes-driven.
That's what's happening across Health and Wellness today. I'm Joe Vanarian, and this is The Fittance Outer Daily Grief. We'll see you tomorrow.
