Nix's Ankle Clean-Up: No Season Derailment

0:00On April 29th, Beau Nix, the Denver Broncos quarterback, just had a minor clean-up procedure on his surgically-repaired ankle to ensure its healing. Clean. Ian Rappaport from NFL Network broke it down, saying they got some stuff out to keep it healthy after his fractured ankle. Earlier this week, reports hit about the surgery, and Rappaport gave more details Wednesday on the Pat McAfee show. It's not major, but Nix won't see much action during organized team activities or mini-camp this spring. Back in January, Nix himself said the original fix wouldn't mess with his off-season plans. Broncos owner Greg Penner, GM George Payton, and coach Sean Payton all back that up last month, expecting him fully ready for the program. The good news is Rappaport expects Nix back at or very close to training camp, which kicks off late July. He doesn't see this derailing Nix's season at all. Broncos Veterans report Monday for weight training and conditioning, with on-field work starting early June.
