Nine Arrested in London Arson Plot Against Jewish Sites

0:00On April 22nd, two more men got picked up and wafered on suspicion of plotting an arson attack on a Jewish community site. Counterterrorism cops nabbed a 19-year-old and a 26-year-old Tuesday, bringing the total arrests in this conspiracy to 9 over the last 3 days. Earlier arrests included 3 men from Harpenden on April 19th to 26-year-olds and a 24-year-old plus a 25-year-old. From Stevenage, then Monday near Birmingham, they grab a 26-year-old man and two women aged 50 and 59 right from a car. All seven of those are out on strict bail conditions now. These busts tie into a wave of fire bombings and attempted arsons hitting Jewish targets across London. It kicked off March 23rd with ambulances from a Jewish charity torched in Golders Green, followed by hits on synagogues, another charity, and even an Iranian dissident media spot in April. Meanwhile, a teenager pleaded guilty Tuesday to straight up arson on a synagogue from Saturday night.
