Nimrod's 1000 Yards: Auburn's New Era?

0:00On March 17th, Auburn Tigers quarterback Byron Brown is setting big goals for wide receiver Chas Nimrod. He predicts Nimrod will hit 1000 receiving yards in the 2026 season. That would end a long drought for Auburn as no current college undergrad has seen a Tiger receiver reach that mark in a single year. Nimrod joined Auburn from the University of South Florida along with head coach Alex Golesch. He started at Tennessee under Golesch too but injury slowed him down early. Over three college years, he has just 781 yards total. His best stretch came a USF with 466 yards and three touchdowns before another injury hit. Auburn fans have waited decades for a breakout receiver. Even with stars like Cam Coleman and Eric Singleton Jr. under coach Hugh Freeze, nobody topped 1000 yards.
