The Edmonton Oilers led the action by waving left-winger Andrew Manjapané and defenseman Alec Regula. Three other teams jumped in, too, with Western Conference Clubs Vancouver and St. Louis getting involved, plus Eastern Conference's Florida Panthers. Vancouver waived defenseman Guillaume Breezebois while St. Louis put center Robbie Fabry on the wire. Florida followed suit by waving 28-year-old center, Luke Kunin. These moves come as teams tweaked their rosters ahead of the trade deadline. For Edmonton, the waiver's signal they're pushing hard to trade Manjapané after failing to find a deal right away. He's in year one of a two-year contract, worth $3.6 million per season, and clearing his cap hit gives them more flexibility.
