NHL Brings Regular Season Games to Germany

The National Hockey League and its Players Association just announced two regular season games in Germany. The Chicago Black Hawks will face the Ottawa Senators' industrial dwarf on December 18th and 20th, 2026. This is part of the new 2026 NHL Global Series Germany. These matchups kick off a long-term plan to grow hockey there. The league aims to boost grassroots programs, fan connections, and business ties over at least the next three seasons. Officials share the news at a press event with the City Mayor. Players and execs are thrilled about the return. NHLPA leader Rob Zepf called it a full circle moment, building on past visits. Ottawa Center Tim Stutzel, from nearby Veerson, said it will inspire more kids to play and draw bigger crowds. These will be just the second and third regular season games ever in Germany.
